M on High Restaurant & Bar

I just had the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. We arrived around 510pm waited about 45 minutes for our food (was not too busy). The steaks they brought out had a really bitter and had cheesy taste. I could not taste the meat. I requested a different cut instead. Unfortunately, they took another 35 minutes to bring it out the second time. We ended up leaving after waiting almost 2 hours! The service was not great either. I ended up paying over $140 for dinner I never ate (besides some breads) I had a great experience before but today it was terrible. There seems to be accountability in this place for bad food and bad service. I expected a better experience for my friend and I. She was exicted to try this new restaurant that I had recommended to her. Unfortunately I will never recommend it to anyone else again

A Hidden Gem in Moorpark – M on High We were pleasantly surprised by the elegance of the atmosphere at M on High. The menu offers a rich variety of delicious dishes, reflecting both creativity and quality. The service was warm, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. One of the highlights for us was the charming garden area — a rare and cozy spot in Moorpark that’s enjoyable year-round, whether in summer or winter. It’s not just a place to eat, but a place to unwind. We definitely see ourselves becoming regulars here.

I have come here for breakfast and dinner before. Breakfast is great especially sitting outside. For dinner, there is a lot to be desired. The portions are way too big like a side of French fries is like probably 2 lbs which seems odd for a fine dining restaurant. A lot of the dinner dishes are extremely heavy and rich. Would be nice to see some lighter options other than salad. Only reason I gave it two stars on service is because our last dinner there 3 days ago, my toddler ordered a burger which the server did not ask if he wanted ketchup or any type of sauce to dip the fries. Then when we asked for it, we come to find out he gave him sambal ketchup which was spicy enough to make my son cry and yell spicy spicy. Upon confronting the server he only said he thought he grabbed the regular ketchup. We really thought it warranted at least an apology for the mistake. Super disappointed and will probably not be back for dinner for a long time.

We had a great experience. We went to dinner before attending a comedy show at the theater down the street. My husband had the pork and I had the salmon. The salmon was probably one of the best cooked pieces of salmon I've ever had. My mocktails were incredible and we absolutely loved our appetizer of yellowtail. The atmosphere was great and the server was friendly and we will definitely be back! Oh and I almost forgot the Cherry crumble was incredible!

Everything was great. Trendy establishment inside and out. I understand why it was busy. The food was great - presentation to taste and quantity. GF options (wish there were GF more options though). Our server was wonderful as well - friendly and professionally playful. Service staff worked hard and made sure that we had enough heaters outside. This is a gem.

It was very difficult to get a reservation or a table, and you need one here. We waited over an hour for the very, very good food, especially the pot pie. But, the service was pretty slow and they were out of this or that. We got the sense they were short handed. Still, I appreciated the menu's variety and I would try them again on a less crowded night. The bread served with olives in oil was outstanding!

The food here was very good and the portions were HUGE. I got the tomato, basil, asparagus frittata which was served either sweet potato tots. My friend got the breakfast sandwich and my mom got the corn salad. Everything was very yummy. Very cute vibe. We also shared a mimos flight which comes with a bottle of champagne and 3 juices- we got pineapple, peach nectar and mango nectar. Would definitely like to come back and try other dishes!
