I honestly don’t know what took us so long to try this place!!! It’s definitely a 10/10!!! My daughters and I had a little mini buffet and shared the Fried Mandu, Tenders, Fries, a hot Cheeto half and half Korean corn dog, and a RamYum with sausages, egg, fish cakes, and cheese!!! We absolutely enjoyed everything and still had some leftovers! We are already planning our next trip! Super recommend!
It was very different. i mean, chicken is chicken, and it is deep fried, but don't taste greasy like most fast food restaurants. Anyways I ordered the sweat n spicy strips with white rice, and we ordered the plain chicken strips they are good. We were shooked but it was very well served for the price. If we had known, I would order one kind because it was a lot for 2 people. I expected a bit more flavor in the white rice it's just white rice, and the curly fries were very good and tasty. I wish they would have explained the dish better. I did say this is our first time, but that didn't work. The cashier she just takes the order and then stands there like the other 2 that were there on their phones. Yea kinda weird, but whatever, I guess...
I finally tried this Korean fried chicken spot after years of hearing the hype, mainly because they expanded their menu beyond just fried food. I’m really glad I did, at least at the first location I visited (mission location). The ramen was incredible, to the point where I couldn’t stop talking about it. The sausage and rice cake skewers in the sweet and spicy sauce were also really good, and as someone with a sensitive stomach and low spice tolerance, I appreciated being able to enjoy the food comfortably. Unfortunately, when I visited their other location (north 10th), the experience wasn’t the same. The sweet and spicy sauce was much spicier and not enjoyable for me at all. When I asked if it could be adjusted, I was told that each location uses a different recipe. From a customer (and business) perspective, this was surprising and disappointing. Consistency matters, especially when locations are marketed as the same brand. The beverage options were also different between locations, which added to the inconsistency. While the food can be great, it’s a stretch to drive farther just to get the quality and flavor that initially hooked me. I hope they standardize their recipes across locations because the potential here is definitely there.
Tried it with my mom and dad based on high reviews. My parents ordered the half a chicken spicy hot and I got the tenders sweet and spicy. We both got fries and a drink. I was a bit skeptical based on how little and empty the place was. But the food was out of this world. The fried were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, chicken was breaded but you could barely tell. It tasted sweet but then the spicy hit you. My parents loved the chicken and how hot it was and they were well served. The ladies there (Zaire, Emma, Belia, and their boss Gayoung) were very helpful will go there again.
Cashier could use a little more kindness. Food was good found a hair on the chicken didn’t want to make a big deal went and told her the cashier she acted as if it wasn’t a big deal didn’t say sorry. Just kept folding napkins. Customer service is a must for me. The first photo is the hair I took off the chicken. Girl in the second photo with the black shirt is the one. Last pic is the food we got red hot perfect spice! 🙂
I will start by saying that the soy garlic tenders are very crispy, juicy and delicious. The sauce is amazing, and adding steamed rice on the side compliments the dish very well. I would like to see smaller more economical combos with half the chicken portion, with rice and perhaps kimchi. I definitely see myself returning to try their sweet and spicy tenders or wings.
My personal take - it's the best fried chicken I've ever had. The sweet and spicy wings and curly fries were what I ordered and this place absolutely delivered. Fresh, crispy, juicy on the inside, nice sweet and spicy kick, perfect curly fries - this place hit the spot and I was getting it to-go. Would've probably enjoyed it more if I sat down then and there to enjoy it! Funny enough I saw it as a tiktok ad, and I'm not even living in the area anymore but I was passing by and knew I had to try it! And being that I'm not in the valley typically, I wasn't gonna leave without a little memorabilia. Their stickers and the pin are absolutely adorable! Even if it's just to-go like my order was, give this place a try if you like chicken in general, I hope they thrive and more get to pop up. And take some ranch for the wings 🙂
