Bon Galbi was a great experience and a wonderful date spot. We ordered the seafood jeon and the gyoza to start. For the BBQ, we chose the prime ribeye and the pork belly. The quality of the meat was excellent, and the portion sizes were generous. It was more than enough food for two people, and we ended up taking a box home. I ordered an Asahi, and he had a Coca-Cola. They also offer soju on the menu if you want something more traditional with Korean BBQ. The atmosphere was comfortable and felt like a genuine Korean BBQ experience. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. They explained the cooking process, checked in at the right moments, and made sure we had everything we needed. They also brought gochujang to the table when we asked, which was appreciated! At the end of the meal, they gave us a small rice drink as a palate cleanser. It was lightly sweet, refreshing, and a thoughtful way to finish the evening, comparable to horchata. Overall, this was a great spot with good service, quality food, and a relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely return.

We were excited to have Korean BBQ in the RGV. Bob Galbi did not disappoint. We had goyoza, jabche with beef, BBQ chicken (made extra spicy), yukgaejang soup and fried rice. Our main entrees were marinated beef short ribs and ribeye (brought to the table as a 1/2 thick slice of steak). Hot coals were brought to the grill to begin the cooking process. The sides...let me tell you about the sides-they are delicious! Kimchi cucumbers, kimchi, a delicious salad, fried tofu...I could go on and on but I really didn't know what everything else was called . It was all delicious! Everything is fresh and served very nearly-just look at the picture. We came here on a Sunday and it was very quiet. The building doesn't look like much, but it's clean. It can be pricey as the lunch specials are not available on the weekend. Our short ribs and ribeye were $42 a piece. The waiter said that in order to use the table top grill we had to order 2 meat entrees. So, if you're looking for Korean BBQ this is a great place.

We’ve been coming to Bon Galbi for some time now, and we absolutely love it. The food is always delicious, the service is excellent, and the owner is such a kind and welcoming lady. She always comes out to greet us and genuinely makes us feel cared for. She remembers that our baby loves certain banchan and always brings out extra without us even asking, which means so much to us. The food is incredibly flavorful, fresh, and truly authentic. Every visit feels less like going to a restaurant and more like visiting a good friend. Bon Galbi is a special place, and we always look forward to coming back.

Just got back from Bon Galbi, and let me tell you, this place is fire—and I mean that literally because they use coals, not propane. The service? Spot on. My wife went for the pork belly, and let me just say... juicy and tender. I went for the LA Galbi, and they were tender, flavorful—nailed it! Shoutout to the chef, though. Our cook was hands down a top-tier talent. Top marks. If you're into delicious food and solid service, Bon Galbi's the place to be. Go. Eat. Be happy.

If you’re looking for authentic Korean food, Bon Galbi is the one! The menu offers a perfect mix of traditional dishes and Korean BBQ, all at very reasonable prices. I ordered the Galbitang (beef short rib soup), and it was outstanding, rich, flavorful traditionally made beef broth with tender beef ribs, radish and noodles. It came with seven delicious side dishes (regular kimchi, cucumber kimchi, spinach, bean sprouts, fish cakes, tofu, and beans) along with rice, making it a hearty and satisfying meal. To complete the experience, I enjoyed some Jinro Fresh Soju; the perfect pairing! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you can feel the authenticity in both the food and the setting. The owner and her staff are absolutely amazing, making you feel like family. Special shoutout to Adrian, who did an excellent job with his service! Whether you’re craving comforting Korean soups, sizzling BBQ, or just want a place with great service and atmosphere, this is the spot. No reservation required but highly recommend on weekends especially if you are going for the BBQ. Highly recommended!

We went to this place for soft opening, so we figured things could be slow or face problems. Much of the item on the menu wasn’t available, which I think might have been too soon for a soft opening. Side dishes were great and I enjoyed every bit of it. Much of the items are very over priced, for example the galbi for 3 pieces was $34.. what? Not only was it very thick, but very fatty.
