Customer Reviews
You Grill Korean BBQ has a rating of 4.4 out of 5 based on over 622 reviews on Google
I’ve been meaning to try this place for a long time, and we finally made it in for a Saturday lunch. I’ve done buffets before, but Korean BBQ is a different story, especially when you’re new to it. And honestly? I really liked it. It’s fun, it’s a little messy, and it feels like you’re cooking with friends even if it’s your first time. We went with the $30.99 AYCE option, plus I grabbed an orange juice for four bucks. Worth it. Our server was genuinely great—attentive without hovering, checked on us often, and made sure we understood how everything worked. That alone already set the tone for the visit. Food-wise, everything felt light and easy to eat. I tried the Hawaiian chicken, the garlic chicken, some beef, and a few other cuts since there were three of us and sharing made it way easier to try different things. The grill got busy quick, and that’s part of the charm here. If I’m honest, the only downside was the men’s restroom—it needed attention. Not horrible, just not ideal. And normally that would push the rating down to a solid four. But service matters, and the server carried the whole experience with respect, patience, and genuine care. That’s rare these days, so I’m giving the fifth star without hesitation. If you come, arrive hungry. Seriously. And bring people you don’t mind passing plates with. We left full, happy, and already talking about what we’ll try next time.
This was my first time visiting a place like this, and I was honestly blown away. Here’s how it works: they seat you at a table with a grill in the center, turn it on, and then bring out whatever meats you choose from the menu. I recommend ordering no more than one dish per person, since the portions can be pretty big. Here’s what we got: - Angus Beef Brisket - very thin slices, cooks super fast, but not seasoned, so you definitely want to dip it in the sauce. - Spicy Pork Belly - a must for anyone who loves spicy food. Incredibly good! - Spicy Korean Chicken - also great, moderately spicy. The pieces are thick, so you either grill them longer or cut them up first. - Hawaiian Chicken - unusual flavor, large pieces, defintely need to cut them. - Garlic Chicken - we didn’t love this one; couldn’t really taste the garlic. - Miso Soup - we ordered it before the main dishes, and I highly recommend doing the same. It was really good here. - Ice Cream - only three flavors: caramel, vanilla, and strawberry. We tried all of them, and I’m not sure if they buy it or or make it in-house, but it was surprsingly good. The service deserves a special shoutout - they kept refilling our drinks, checked in often to see what we wanted next, and even swapped out the metal grill plate when it started getting burnt, which happens pretty fast. Vibe was really friendly and nice. We’ll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. For your first visit, there’s really no reason to get option B - give yourself time to get the hang of it. Highly recommend!
Just ok. I had been to a couple other Yiu Grill Korean BBQ locations and had a better experience. We ordered the All-You-Can-Eat 'A' menu. Right off the bat, they said they were already out of rice paper and do not offer Daikon radish. The grill looked like a 'Hot Pot' (boiling water) under the grill, so basically it wasn't BBQ it was steamed hot plate. The meat turned out OK, not grilled, but ok. For any Korean BBQ, the service can be tricky. Most places have thier staff running around and all staff cover each other. Here, it took about 8 minutes before someone come over to the front, (where it says wait to be seated), to be put on a waiting list. They said about a 20-minute wait, but it was closer to 40-minutes. The ambiance looked like it was more catered to the Hot Pot, rather than the grill cooking, meaning most of the tables I saw were the Hot Pot underneath the grill. I love Korean BBQ, but don't think I'll be coming back to this location.
Amazing place and price. Wish they had the reddish to wrap the meat in. But delicious meats and options and sauces and more. Love it here
The food you get for the price is mediocre. The marinated beef short ribs were pretty good, otherwise we weren't impressed. Steamed egg was overcooked. Tofu soup has 2 pieces the size of dimes and the rest of broth. Bulgogi has no vegetables. Restaurant does not have rice paper or radish paper. Service was mediocre - we had to keep getting the server's attention after having an empty grill for 5 minutes. It's a poor comparison to the AYCE KBBQ joints up and down Orange County. Scratches the itch, but nothing more. If you're going to the coast, I suggest skipping in favor of a better restaurant.
You order. You grill. You eat. Two hour limit so go with a plan. Get your bulgogis and beef strip steak and thinly sliced brisket and pork belly first they cook faster. Save your chickens for the last round takes forever to cook. Everything is delicious from the salads down to the green tea ice cream that I cannot get enough of. Service is friendly and swift. Good beer selection. My nephews and I always leave full and happy. Be here more often however I dont want to cut my life short so I can enjoy this and places on this level for many moons. Love it.
It was my first time finding and having Korean barbecue in Palm Springs. As a Korean American, if I were to rate the food taste alone, I’d give it a 3.8 out of 5. However, considering that you can have all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ in Palm Springs for $30, I’d give it a full 5 for value. One piece of advice: it’s better to go to the restaurant a bit early. When we arrived around 5:30pm, we had to wait about 20–30 minutes.
