I really like this restaurant. Ordering is very convenient — the menu has photos, so you always know exactly what you’re choosing. The meat quality is great, fresh and tender, and everything tasted delicious. Overall a very enjoyable experience and a place I’d happily come back to. Highly recommend.
Last time I can was before the change of ownership. Staffed mentioned that they are slower than before. Meat quality is so terrible now. The wagyu beef is the worst quality I have ever had. Overall, the only meat that was good was the picanha wagyu and the refular beef bulgogi. The rest was absolutely chewy and inedible. Sides lacked flavor especially the glass noodle. The waiter felt terrible. But we expressed it is not their fault. Last time I visit sadly. Also, staff just drop off items and not in the right spot. Drinks just placed wherever and we have to pass them to the correct people. Meat cuts are placed on table by several staff with no explanation on what it is. Most staff lack customer service.
Food was excellent—quality meats, balanced marinades, and quick service in a clean, comfortable space. My only gripe: the robot servers, while efficient, take away from the fun of chatting with staff when ordering. Give us the option to order with a person and it’s a five-star experience.
Best Korean bbq I’ve ever had ! All you can eat and they have halal options!! Oh my god it was so good I wish I could go back sooner. We almost met our 2 hour limit. Literally everything is good so no complaints. The lame part is my stomach couldn’t keep eating forever otherwise I woulda been there longer.
Review of I Can Barbecue Korean Grill: Unfortunately, my experience at I Can Barbecue Korean Grill was disappointing. The food was below average — lacking the flavor and quality you’d expect from a Korean BBQ restaurant. What made the experience worse was the extremely poor service. The staff were inattentive and very slow, making the entire dining process frustrating. Communication was a major issue as well. Nearly half of the staff did not speak English, which made it very difficult to ask questions or request anything. This added unnecessary confusion and delays to an already underwhelming experience. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant. With so many better Korean BBQ options available, this one is simply not worth your time or money.
I’ve been coming here since they opened and man have they fallen far. Came in yesterday for lunch and had the worst experience possible. All of our food was super unfresh and plain disgusting. I had to send back 3 sides and 2 meats. All of the meat we got tasted unusually old, grey color, and excess fat. The starting sides are ridiculously skimped at this point, to put it into perspective they put 4 individual pieces of rice paper lol. Service was horrible. Only 2 servers for a full restaurant. Truly disappointed with this, will not come back here again. Other KBBQ spots in oc have my business. Sadly management and owners care very little about the customer experience. AVOID
The worst Korean BBQ experience I’ve ever had. From the start, things were off. You order online, and the server is supposed to check that you receive everything. Well, we didn’t get any of our food for the first 10–15 minutes. We had to call the server over just to get things moving. When my sister politely asked about our drinks, he looked her straight in the eyes and said, "No, you have to order." We had ordered—the drinks just never came. We also requested hot water for my pregnant cousin. He said, "Sure," but never brought it. We reminded him several times. Eventually, when it did arrive, it was in a plastic cup—completely inappropriate for hot water. We ordered rice and never got it until we flagged down another server. The grill got so burnt we asked for it to be changed. The server just turned it off and walked away, not saying a word. We didn’t even realize until our food stopped cooking and had to ask someone else to turn it back on. This whole experience was careless and borderline rude. We’ve never been treated like this at any restaurant, let alone a Korean BBQ where service usually stands out. Not coming back. Ever
