GEN Korean BBQ House

My complaint in particular is about how small a $37 portion of to go food is. It is delicious! Truely I loved everything I tasted but a side is not a dipping sauce amount of food. If you want to eat here go in! Never ever by to go it’s never going to be worth it.

Unfortunately, our experience here was very disappointing. From the start, the restaurant felt disorganized and the overall vibe of the place was just off. Most of the staff seemed unwelcoming and in bad moods, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable. The only person who made us feel welcome was the host everyone else lacked basic hospitality. They advertise "fresh" meat, yet it was obvious what we were served had been frozen, which felt misleading. On top of that, we very visibly needed grill changes during our meal, but no one checked on us. The same thing happened when we needed scissors we asked for them and then waited a long time before they were finally brought over. It shouldn’t take that much effort just to get basic table necessities. Service overall was extremely slow. Anytime we asked for something, it took at least 10 minutes, even though we could clearly see our server standing around talking with coworkers. I understand that people are working for a paycheck we all are? but that doesn’t mean guests should feel ignored or like an inconvenience. After reading other reviews, it seems like this isn’t a one-time issue, which makes me question whether management is paying attention to feedback. Between the long waits, lack of attentiveness, and the uncomfortable atmosphere, the entire experience was frustrating. I would strongly suggest saving your time and money and choosing somewhere else.

Wow! Where do I start! First the food is amazing! If you have never been to a Korean BBQ style restaurant be ready for an experience! You and your family/friends have a cast iron hot plate in the middle of the table. You order the types of meat you want and sides. The meat is pre- marinaded for you. It may seem like a draw back to some to cook it yourself but it is so fresh and they did all the prep work so it doesn’t take but a couple minutes before you eat your food. Kevin our waiter was top notch! You won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience DO NOT come to this restaurant! Gen used to be one of me and my wife’s favorite BBQ spots, so we came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Big mistake. We brought a cake, and the staff said they would keep it for us but when we asked for it at the end, they had completely forgotten about it. Unbelievable. Then it got worse. The meat we ordered was SOLD OUT, and no one even told us. We sat there for almost 20 minutes with nothing to grill, while the staff just stood around chatting and laughing like they didn’t care at all that customers were waiting. They gave us a dirty bowl of water and a disgusting piece of radish to "clean" the grill and the grill itself was burnt black and covered in carbon. When we asked for a clean grill, they flat-out refused. The service was beyond awful, and the food was just as bad. Half of our meat got ruined because it was contaminated by the burned grill. And to top it all off, one of the staff actually said, "Don’t worry, we won’t charge you extra for the leftover food." What a joke! You think that’s customer service? This was supposed to be a special anniversary dinner, and they completely ruined it. Horrible service, horrible food, horrible attitude. Never again. Stay away from this place!

Got here on Saturday night at 7pm, not too busy. They were able to accomodate our party of 8 right away which was a plus!! Kevin our waiter was extremely attentive and fast!! Took all of our orders, changed dirty grills, and gave us really good recommendations. We hadn’t heard about korean pancake and he told us about it. Had a great night.

This place used to be our go to place when they first opened, but then it went downhill. They either don't have what we want to order or they kept forgetting to bring out our food and we had to ask them several times for it. How can I eat within 90 minutes when I have to wait forever for my food? There are many Korean bbq out there and this place is definitely off my go to list.

We closed the restaurant down with our work team. We ordered premium and took advantage of all the beef, prok, chicken and seafood. Almoat 2 hours or all-you-eat. We all ended with food coma. Highly recommend this place! We also have them in Southern California and the services doesn't disappoint. Thanks to our waiter, Gen and team for always keeping the food coming!
