Mo Ran Gak Restaurant Korean BBQ | Fullerton 모란각 플러턴

You know the food is good when there’s a wait at 5pm on a Monday. My new favorite kbbq spot! This isn’t an AYCE restaurant so they have premium meats served al a carte or with a combo. We ordered the brisket and black pork belly combo for 2 with steamed egg and tofu soup - our table all agreed it was the best tofu soup we’ve ever tasted. They grill the meats for you while you enjoy the banchan spread which included napa and radish kimchi, soy bean sprouts, seaweed salad, mung bean jelly. pancake, and anchovy pepper stir fry. Though this is a bbq spot, don’t miss out on the other menu items! The boiled pork belly was incredibly tender, and they even cut the beef for you table-side when you order galbitang. A must-try is their Pyongyang cold noodles (naengmyeon), which are made in-house from scratch. We ordered the bibim naengmyeon and were also offered mul naengmyeon, so we got to try both! Everything was so good, I’ll definitely be back to try other menu items!

It was my first visit to Moran Gak in Fullerton, and I was genuinely impressed. Our server, Jack, was incredibly friendly and left a great impression. The quality of the meat was excellent, and I was really satisfied with everything we ordered. The cold noodles weren’t exactly the traditional Pyongyang style that Moran Gak advertises, but they were still very enjoyable. Among mid-range Korean BBQ spots in Orange County, this was easily one of the best experiences I’ve had.

My first time here and will definitely not be my last! My bf recommended this place for naengmyeon, but today we tried the korean bbq. We ordered the small wagyu set with two small orders of naengmyeon and bibim naengmyeon to share between three adults and it was definitely more than enough. Everything was super tasty and I enjoyed the variety of banchan! Jack and the ahjummas were very attentive to our family. The restaurant is very clean and the decor is super cute! Can’t wait to come back!!

This place is more than just KBBQ with many kinds of Korean food. Thankfully we didn't wait at all coming on a weekday evening around 5 PM. Tip for you! There are many Korean customers but non-Koreans customers like us we didn't feel awkward or uncomfortable as they were accomodating. We ordered the 2 person non-marinated combo and the quantity was just right. It came with 3 kinds of meat, 1 egg, and 1 soup (you can choose between 2). And yes they cook for you. The number of banchan aka side dishes was amazing! Everything was so good and loved the variety. I felt their Seafood Pancake wasn't their best. It tastes more flour and doughy instead of tasting the actual seafood ingredients.

Absolutely amazing Korean BBQ! The meat is incredibly fresh and flavorful, perfectly marinated, and cooked to perfection. The staff Jack,super friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. The side dishes are delicious, and the overall atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Definitely one of the best Korean BBQ spots I’ve ever been to—I’ll be coming back again and again!

Peter was hands down the highlight of our visit at Mo Ran Gak in Fullerton. His energy, attentiveness, and great service made our experience unforgettable. The short ribs were delicious and the soju was on point. Even my halmeoni and she’s a tough one to impress! —she loved him and the food! We’ll definitely be back!

We ordered the BBQ set for two, and both the beef brisket and pork belly were very good! I’m usually concerned that pork belly can be too oily, but theirs was not at all. The steamed egg that came with the set was also delicious, my daughter loved it. It’s definitely one of those dishes that most kids would enjoy. We also ordered the hot stone bibimbap, which was excellent. The vegetables were very fresh and flavorful. The only dish that didn’t meet my expectations was the cold noodles. I had seen a lot of recommendations, so we decided to try it. While the portion was quite large, the noodles were served extremely cold. I have sensitive teeth, so it was a bit too much for me, and the flavor was also a little plain.
