5 star. Taste very good and authentic! Lot of good options and variety of rice cakes and vegetables. The sauce tastes exactly like the one at Korea. The staff pretty girl explained and helped us really well. You don't need to know what to chose in advance, she helped us well based on our input. All staffs there are very knowledgeable and helpful and kind. Price is reasonable. 1 pot without any extra is big or more than enough for 2. For 3, just add fried dumplings. Plenty of parking lots right in front of the restaurant since it locates in side huge mall.

Korean street-style tteokbokki that lets you choose your favorite rice cakes, vegetables, and toppings is such a great concept. The kitchen cooks it first, and then it comes to your table where you can keep it warm over low heat — I really liked that style. The ingredients were clean, fresh, and well-managed, so the flavors were even better than expected. They also offer several side dishes, making it a fun spot for a light meal with friends or a casual hangout. One thing to note is that the broth can get saltier as it continues to boil at the table, but overall the idea is great and Making customers feel that the price is affordable could be one of the key measures of success. I hope this place continues to grow and do well!

Visited Ddokki in Fullerton and had a fun, satisfying tteokbokki experience. The concept is great—buffet-style ingredients where you can customize your own pot, and everything cooks right at your table. There were plenty of choices for rice cakes, noodles, veggies, and fish cakes, and the sauces were flavorful with a nice level of spice. The side dishes and add-ons were also enjoyable, especially the fried items that paired perfectly with the tteokbokki. The space felt lively and clean, and the staff was helpful when we had questions about the sauces. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is that it can get a bit crowded and the broth levels sometimes require extra attention, but overall it’s a fun and delicious spot—great for a casual meal with friends or family. I’d definitely come back when I’m craving customizable tteokbokki!

Worth the Wait We waited about 1 hour and 30 minutes for a table at Dookii, and honestly - it was completely worth it. The staff was incredibly welcoming, kind, and attentive the whole time, which made the experience even better. We went with the rosé sauce for our tteokbokki, and it was the perfect level of spicy for us. We ordered the Regular, Cheese, and Cheese Corn tteokbokki, all delicious, but the Cheese tteokbokki was definitely my favorite, followed by the Regular. The Cheese Corn was good too, just more of a sweet-savory combo. For add-ins, we got some bok choy, green onion, enoki mushrooms, cabbage, and sausages. All the veggies were fresh and cooked perfectly in the sauce. The sausages were just okay, just like a mini hot dog (so I'll probably skip them next time). Also got ramen noodles, which were a perfect addition. We also tried the garlic butter fries which were super tasty, though a bit smaller in portion size compared to everything else. Still worth getting. And finally we got the boneless K fried chicken thighs. Moist, flavorful, and the crunch on the outside was perfection. Great contrast to the soft and chewy tteokbokki (Forgot to snap a picture) This is absolutely a *go-with-friends-to-share-everything* type of spot. We'll definitely be back!

Dookki is one of the latest additions to an already solid roster of Korean restaurants that have been popping up in Fullerton’s Amerige Heights Town Center. The wait for a table can get pretty long on a weekend, but we were able to walk right in on a Tuesday night. The concept is relatively similar to Chipotle or malatang - you go up to the bar and pick what ingredients you want in your tteokbokki. After you order, you sit down and wait for your food to be brought out. The overall vibe is very casual. Service is also pretty good.

This was the most variety and customization I’ve ever had for tteokbokki. There are several different kinds of rice cakes, including a corn cheese tteok that I fell in love with. In total, there are 6 different kinds of rice cakes to choose from, and, yes, you can absolutely choose a combination of all of them. There are also several different types of meat toppings, vegetables, noodles, and sauces. I’ve tried both the rose and the Dookki original sauces. Even though I don’t regularly eat spicy food, I loved the Dookki original sauce and did not think it was too spicy. I especially loved the little mini sausages because they had such a crisp snap to them. One pot of tteokbokki is around $30 and should definitely be shared. It was a lot of food for just me and my boyfriend - and we can eat a lot, too!

To be fair, we also got an order of fried chicken. We got the Honey Brown Chicken wings, which had a sweet honey glaze and a touch of soy sauce. To be honest, I thought the wings were just ok. On a separate visit, we got boneless thighs instead, which were much better. We also got an order of fish cake skewers, which were also fine, but felt redundant as our tteokbokki already had a lot of fish cake in it. Regardless, I would definitely return to Dookki for their fun, delicious, and customizable tteokbokki.

The Ddukbokki here is just okay, the chicken is mediocre, and the fishcake soup was honestly not good. Aside from the name, it’s hard to find any real connection between this place and the actual Dookki in Korea. I was expecting much better quality.

Super friendly staff and delicious food! I loved how you can customize everything — you can choose the type of rice cake, fish cake, vegetables, noodles, sauce, and even the spice level. The tteokbokki tasted even better than what I had in Korea, and the fries were crispy with a great cheese flavor. Highly recommend this place if you love Korean street food!
