Gangnam K-Cuisine Korean Restaurant

Legit Korean food in Fresno. This place is good.

Normally I am very thorough with the exact aspects of each dish that were great and not so great but its not worth my time. Most disappointing korean restaurant in the city, with everything being either bland or flavorless. Just go to Naju Tofu if you want that tofu house style or Asiana if you want more grandma style.

Big disappointment in their integrity. We went for the jokbal and got baited and switched. We called ahead to make sure they had it, the waitress confirmed to not worry and would have it available. When we went in, the waitress confirmed our order. She stated that our food would slowly come out since they only had one cook, which we didn't mind since it's a mom and pop shop, and other customers slowly started coming in, too. However, as our dishes slowly started coming out, we kept waiting for the jokbal to arrive, excited since there is none here in the valley except socal. After sitting there, having ate the other dishes, and still waiting, the waitress pretends that the jokbal just ran out. Mind you, we were the first customers there to order, and there was no phone orders. She tried to sell us bossam, with her knowledge of korean suddenly out the window, pretending to not know how to pronounce it when she pronounced every other dish perfectly while taking our initial order. If I had known there was no jokbal, after doing my due diligence, I would have gone to the other place in town that serves the same food at a lower price and better taste. Never again will I support this place willingly after such a big disappointment.

Came during lunch with my friend to finally try this place out, everything was so delicious. The prices are definitely worth the portions given. Would come back for the cold noodles alone😩 Service was great, I love the little call button on the table, makes everything so much easier! Definitely recommend coming during lunch to order their lunch combo 10/10 can’t wait to come back!

Don't sleep on this restaurant. I used to live in Southern California, within reaching distance of Los Angeles' Koreantown. Yes, the very same Koreantown some will say has better food than South Korea itself. Fresno is sorely lacking on superior culturally rich food, so far surviving on all things mediocre to excelling on mediocre. I am happy to say that Gangnam puts itself within the higher echelons to bring some good flavors from Korean grandma's kitchen to Fresno's tables. Though, I wish they had Jajangmyeon. auntie's was nice and accommodating. I was too hungry to take pictures of our seafood pancake, kimchijjigae, and yukgaejang. Though I'll definitely won't be forgetting the next time I visit. Again, some sleep on this place. I'd sacrifice half of the Asian spots in Fresno to keep this place.
