Gen Korean BBQ House

Stopping by the Costco next door first is a must - you can buy $100 worth of Gen BBQ gift cards for $80. Sometimes they’re on sale for $70 even! We came for Friday night dinner, all you can eat for $31 per person. From adding ourselves to the waitlist to being seated, it took around an hour. The beef bulgogi and Gen Signature Yangyum Galbi (the short ribs) were the yummiest. Appetizers are hit and miss. If you come at a popular time, don’t expect super attentive service. If you want water refilled or the grill changed, you’ll have to flag someone down yourself. Our server had amazing timing though, always showing up to take our order for the next round as we were finishing up the current. It seems that having a good experience is highly dependent on getting lucky with a good server. Overall, we left full and content. With how expensive restaurants are now, we felt paying $31 each for all-you-can-eat meat was good value, especially with the extra savings from Costco.

Had lunch at Gen Fremont today and had a great experience. Our server, Christian, did an excellent job—very attentive, friendly, and efficient. He made sure everything came out quickly and checked in on us regularly. Really appreciate the great service. Thank you, Christian!

Gen BBQ is a great place for a big appetite. Our family is not eat a lot but with all-you-can-eat, there are various foods that can order. We upgraded to Premium and Premium Marbling Center Cut Marinated Short RIB and Premium Cajun Shrimp were so so delicious. Unfortunately, Beef Tongue was sold out. The server recommend us order Premium RIB-EYE Steak but since we are not a big appetite, we did not order it even it looked tasty. Good foods and good atmosphere, but the most impressive thing was our server named "Joshua" who were so quick move and take orders in all tables. Even Gen was so crowded in the Sunday's evening, Joshua was incredible service to all of his tables without waiting. I will be definitely go there soon.

Long wait for mid food and terrible service. Okay place to get some drinks and eat with the boys but not even that for me hadn’t been here in years and I went just to remember why lol. If they add a sauce bar maybe I’ll give it another dabble but it’s too basic for the price they are charging no wonder Costco had their gift cards on sale.

Great spot for family and friends- excellent meats and appetizers. The spicy lamb is just awesome. Attentive service; our server probably changed out our grill six times.

Excellent experience... great food and service. Really nice place to hangout with friends and enjoy some delicious food. We upgraded to the premium food and were not disappointed. Good times It would have been 5 stars if our server explained things, like the fact they have vegetables and garlic, etc. We ate nothing but meat, would have been nice if they told us they have other stuff to grill.

Always a great experience. Nice options on the all you can eat. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Highly recommend doing the all you can eat and pairing your meats with the sides
