Oz Korean BBQ - Folsom

Excellent Korean BBQ. All the food was very fresh and delicious. Our server could have been better in that we had to request a couple of things several times like drink refills but he brought the last ones in to-go cups, so that was nice. I'd rather not name him since overall he was good. Our favorites were the short ribs, rib eye and the fish-shaped sweet potato cakes at the end. Great place to bring out-of-town guests.

after having been to the sacramento location, we were so excited to have one closer to us open in folsom! FOOD everything was so fresh, from the meat to the veggies. huge fans of the garlic shrimp, bulgogi, and hawaiian galbi.. but you really can’t go wrong with anything; it’s all delicious. all the sides are fabulous, and great additions to the yummy AYCE. SERVICE when we walked in, we were immediately greeted by a very nice hostess. Nathan was our server and was attentive throughout our entire dining experience! all the staff were very kind. AMBIANCE super clean inside. bright lighting just really opens up the space. huge TVs with music videos playing all throughout! PARKING adjacent parking structure nearby. since the restaurant is located at an outdoor mall, it’s nice to shop around while you wait or walk back to your car! MISC not really a place i’d recommend for vegetarians as there weren’t many vegetarian options. GREAT for families or big parties. overall, can’t wait to come back! i really hope Oz does well in this location because this is exactly what the Palladio has been missing!

We are so excited OZ is finally open! Oz is my absolute favorite restaurant and the fact we now have one 10 minutes down the road is so exciting. We wanted to come for their opening weekend but the high wait and being later in the evening, we decided to go on a Monday. If you’ve been to Korean bbq, you know there is usually a wait. Luckily you can join the waitlist online and it makes it so much easier to plan. Nathan was our server this evening and he was an absolute delight. He was so kind and welcoming, very attentive! We never had to ask for refills or track him down. The location is beautiful and bright. As the Sun was setting the lights dimmed slightly which was a very nice touch! If you have never had Korean bbq, this is hands down the place to try! Highly recommend the royal galbi, spicy chadol, Cajun shrimp, and lots of Oz sauce!

The food was fresh and plentiful and our service was reasonably good. There were a couple of issues, such as requested items, in this case a glass of wine, not arriving until much later and a couple of reminders given. I think our biggest issue was that the atmosphere became visibly smokey after a time. That is not completely Oz's fault as people may not realize that their grill can be changed to minimize smoke. Otherwise a good value and experience.

The overall atmosphere is pleasant and the service is good. The side dishes are generous and the food tastes great. The board games mounted on the wall to keep kids entertained are a nice touch. The meat seems slightly below the level of the main OZ location, but since they are still in their soft opening, it’s worth giving them time. Still, being the only all-you-can-eat BBQ spot in the area makes it unique enough to deserve a 5-star rating.

They still need to iron the kinks. We've been an Oz patrons for several years particularly the Bradshaw and Elk Grove branches. The kitchen still needs to get their stuff together. The ribeye steak was frozen, the signature bulgogi's marinade was not even close. The Costco bulgogi's flavor was much better. We opted for the seafood. However, the garlic shrimp was lacking the flavor and the garlic 🙁 The management was genuinely wanted to make it right and wanted feedback. The machine ice cream, service, and atmosphere was great.

We have been going to their original location in Rancho Cordova for over a decade. This new location in Folsom is by far their best! Prompt friendly service, top quality meats and side dishes and love the new look with high ceilings, open space and efficient vents keeping the smoke and traditional smells of a Korean BBQ at bay! Highly recommend this location over the others! We'll worth the drive or stop on your way to or return from Tahoe.
