Atmosphere was clean, fast pace, but loud! Had to wait to be seated but Saturday lunch time is to be expected. It was quick, 7 before me on the wait list for 2/3 people... only waited less than 15min before we were seated as well! Service was spots on... A call button if needed but waitress was always around for anything. Food wise ... Came very fast... Banchan were fresh kimchi (was amazing... Not overly spicy and still have a nice crunch. Soy sauce marinated daikon... A bit sweet to me but mom loved it. Seafood pancake was soooo good with their hot soy sauce... Pack with squid, shrimp and the batter was so light! Fishcake kalguksu spicy broth (level spicy)... To me had a nice kick but next time will definitely get extra spicy... Different type of fishcakes... Plenty to make you full and that's before the noodle... Lots of not too chewy noodle that blends well with the soup. Beef bulgogi soft tofu stew (level spicy) also would get extra spicy for me but spicy had a nice kick also. The beef bulgogi was so tender and sweet, tofu was nice and soft (and not overly soft were it would crumble when trying to spoon it), the raw egg added a touch of creaminess to the broth. Stew came with 3 other banchan... Fishcakes, cucumber kimchi, beansprouts. Also all were great and refillable. Definitely will come back again and again!

Daesung Korean Noodle House is one of those low-key neighborhood spots that delivers exactly what you’re craving when you want something warm, hearty, and comforting. The menu focuses on classic Korean noodle and soup dishes, and everything feels home-style and satisfying. The kalguksu is a standout — the broth is rich and deeply savory, with a clean finish that doesn’t feel overly heavy, and the hand-cut noodles have the perfect chewy texture. Portions are generous, making it great value for the quality and price. Beyond the noodles, the banchan adds a nice touch to the meal, bringing balance and variety with bright, fermented, and slightly spicy flavors. The atmosphere is casual and unfussy, which makes it feel authentic and approachable. It’s not flashy, but it doesn’t need to be — Daesung is all about comforting, well-executed Korean staples that hit the spot every time.

What a gem! Delicious Kalguksu (I opted for the spicy regular version and it was very very good) and huge servings at great prices. The pickled ginger was good, but the kimchi is maybe the best I've had atca restaurant. I could tell that the jeons or pancakes were the thing to get, but I was solo so will have to wait for support to order that. Service was efficient and good. I do mot think there was one table (it was pretty packed for a weekday afternoon) that wasn't filled with Koreans. Can't wait to return to try more items.

Hot chewy noodles were the best texture, not too salty or oily. Seafood pancake with just the right amount of crisp. Good barley tea to start. Service was very efficient and place was really clean.

My friends and I always come here for the soondubu kalguksu noodles and the seafood pancake. Everything is always warm, comforting and yummy.

The noodles here are absolutely delicious! We always go for the kalguksu, and it never disappoints. The noodles are fresh, smooth, and have a perfect texture. This was our second visit, and the quality remained just as impressive. The portions for both the noodles and appetizers were generous. We had the bibim-guksu, bulgogi soondubu, fried dumplings, haemul pajeon, bulgogi soondubu kalguksu, and dweji bulgogi soondubu kalguksu—all were fantastic! Get the pancake it will not disappoint. Beyond the great food, the service was excellent. The restaurant is bright, spacious, and very clean, including the bathrooms. Just writing this review is making me crave more! Can’t wait to come back. PS - their banchan is limited but it's delicious!! kimchi, radishes and fish cake!

Daesung Korean Noodle in Flushing is known for their hot and soupy food. My friends and I ordered seafood pancake, steamed dumplings, and each got our own bowl of noodles. I got the seafood kalguksu, which I finished every drop and strand of. The pickled chayote banchan dish was crisp and fresh (my fave), and the seafood pancakes were perfect for sharing (highly recommend). Great spot for delicious Korean comfort food and sharing plates with friends!
