This is a restaurant I really want to recommend to others! First, the portions are generous and the food is delicious! I had a meal there this time, and it was better than most snack bars. I even bought some chicken to take home and ate it for dinner and the next day, and it didn't have any fishy smell and was still delicious. If you want to eat authentic Korean chicken and Korean food, I highly recommend you go there! Also, the owner and staff were very friendly, which made for a pleasant dining experience! Thank you!

I’m honestly shocked at how far Bonchon has fallen. This used to be one of our favorite spots, so much so that we drove 40 minutes just to eat here. And for what? Cold, stale food and a completely disappointing experience. The chicken, which used to be crispy, juicy, and fresh, came out dry, chewy, and clearly not freshly made. The seasoned fries were even worse. They used to be amazing, garlicky, with real parmesan. Now they taste and smell like dirty feet with some weird yellow cheese dumped on top. Absolutely ridiculous for $11.99! The restaurant itself is dirty, and the server never once came to check on how our food was. The new kiosk system only adds to the frustration it’s confusing and makes the service feel even more disconnected. We are extremely disappointed. We wasted our time and money coming here, all because it used to be good. Sadly, after this experience, we won’t be coming back.

Ive been to many Bonchon's and unfortunately this was the most lack luster one. The food was good, and staff nice enough, but the atmosphere was off, TV's weren't working, overall it felt like a ghost town. I feel the location plays a big part as it is hidden from the main road and even with GPS I didnt notice it until we were in front of it.

I ordered this time for pickup. Their food has gone down hill for a while and this is last time I eat there. The chicken strips were very dry and they changed the sauce to the point it had little flavor. Even considering it was pickup, they didnt have the crunchy shell/breading they used to have. It was also close to 90 bux for french fries, 18 count strips, and a 12 count mixed. I would suggest finding a local place that makes Korean fried chicken because this Bonchon is not even a shadow of what it used to be:

Bonchon Chicken in Ellicott City is really good! 🍗🔥 The chicken is super crispy, juicy, and full of flavor with the perfect Korean sauce 😋 Service is fast and friendly, and everything comes out fresh. Definitely a great spot when you’re craving Korean fried chicken! ✨

Bonchon Ellicott City GOOD: Service was good, potstickers were tasty BAD: Price paid for the quality, tacos were not as expected and mehh, street corn just tasted boiled. I wanted to like Bonchon. I was at Centennial Park and figured give it a try. I can get great chicken wings in several spots, so I wanted to try something more uniquely "Korean." I should have followed the masses and got wings or bullogi (sp) fries. I was hoping the street corn with the mayo would be creamy and unique - after the first bite it tasted like corn you'd boil at home. The tacos were okay - I ordered "fried chicken" expected a good crunch, like a chicken tender, no such luck. It tasted bland with no fry crunch at all. They also needed better draining. Every bite yielded a leaky mess. The star of the show was the pot stickers - the sauce stood out but another item I can get for less. Overall, I left spending 37.00 unsatisfied. If I returned, I'd stick to wings or the chicken sandwich, but competition is top notch for that at better prices.

Not the Bonchon I used to love...I don't even recognize it. Monday evening and there is NO ONE in the place and I can understand why. They have changed over to a fast food kiosk/counter service style as opposed to the whole sit down table service. Had to grab chopsticks from a side counter along with any table water. Ordered an expensive drink with no mixers or limes from the bar. The wings and zucchini was cooked in oil that needed to be changed(burnt taste) the food was average and the drums and drumettes were difficult to tell apart because they were the same size. Definitely not fresh cut and cooked, either. The man behind the counter was very polite and apologetic regarding the changes this location has gone through, I told him it's not his fault and still tipped him properly. I'm sure whomever responds to these reviews will also be apologetic, will have a word with the location, sorry for the inconvenience or ask that I reach out to them or the location itself. This area has a demographic that is predominantly Korean and Bonchon is supposed to be the benchmark of Korean fried chicken. It is shameful how far this location has fallen when there are so many other businesses in this area offering this type of menu. You would expect them to want to maintain their place as the best. I am sad to say I won't be back.
