This korean bbq joint has the best value of all of them in the Elk Grove / Sacramento area. The choices for lunch are outstanding. For me, the lunch menu has all the items I like anyway. For $28, it's an awesome meal that will keep you full throughout the whole day. The LA Galbi is usually an item that the other Korean spots serve in the more expensive menu. I recommend getting the half order so you can try a variety of dishes to see what you really like. The thin marinated meats are also good because it absorbs the marinade better and cooks faster. The soups offered provide rich flavor and spices. I definitely recommend them. The corn cheese takes a longer time to cook, but worth the wait if corn and cheese is your thing. The ambiance suited the place very nicely with the modern looking neon lights along with the bar accompanying the nice meal. The smoke extractor lids do a great job not allowing the smoke to get away and bother people. The service is probably the best thing about the place. They present the table of very nicely with nice selection of side dishes. The servers constantly check to see if you need anything. And it seems like the grills get changed every round which makes a big difference to prevent food from being over charred. I have been to other places where the grill is rarely changed and the server consciously ignores you. At Ember, the servers dont do that. Calvin is a server who deserves special recognition because of what he does to ensure that our meal is going well. To sum it up, the value and the selection of food during lunch time makes this place better than any in the area. The service is the cherry on top.

Came for lunch today after a 5k race and everything was scrumptious! My favorite dish was the bulgogi chicken, but everything was amazing, even the small plates they setup before you arrive to your table. Our server was very attentive and kind. Usually Korean BBQ places I go to have poor airflow and can be smoky, but that’s not the case here. Also, the bathroom was so clean! Will definitely be going again!

I have NEVER written a review before, but I need to this time. We had a reservation for 10 people at 6:15, and had to wait 15min for our table, which wasn't that bad. However, when we started ordering, the pork was frozen, you could see the flaky ice on the pork. We didn't pay over $40 per person to get frozen pork, at least defrost them. Our waiter was quite friendly, but he forgot our order twice. When he did bring us the bowls of rice, he slid them across the table, and one almost fell off the table. When we asked for extra menus (he only gave us 2 menus for 10 people), he threw them across the table as well. The spicy beef bulgogi was good, though. Beside that, we constantly had to ask for a grill change. Compared to other places, the waiters automatically do that for you. But then, when we asked about desserts, there were 10 people, so we ordered 10 melona bars. The lady came to me and said that they can't do that because I was asking for seconds, but one of the people didn't want it, so I was taking his. She said no. She walked away, told me she was going to check the tab, then never came back. We never got 10 melona bars. Then my friends ordered 2 more melona, of which were both refused, but we agreed to pay $3 for the extra bars. They agreed, they charged us for that, I paid, and they didn't give us the food. Which is disappointing considering the guy who took our order was also the guy who took my payment, who also let us walk out without giving the food. In total, I spent nearly $500 for 10 people; they made the 18% gratuity fee (I expected that, so no surprise); however, they added this before taxing you, so just be aware. They tax you after you give them this gratuity fee, then they also ask for a tip as well. So just keep in mind if you're planning on having 8+ people here. Overall, I'm quite disappointed with the service and the food, especially for this price, considering the fact that the Blue House is more affordable and has better service. I'm never dining here again.

We were there during lunch time for all you can eat, but we decided to do dinner menu which has more choices of meats. I love all the side dishes they serve, you can refill the side dishes if you like. The cold noodles and tofu soup are very delicious. They have beef, chicken, pork and seafood. All meats are in good quality. You can do half order if you want to save your stomach to try more varieties. At the end, we got a fruit ice cream bar which is also yummy. Will come back again.

Ember Korean BBQ is one of the KBBQs close to my home. They have the best dining rooms, which I like. There is more space between tables, so I feel more privacy and less crowded than at the other Korean BBQ restaurants in the area. The food tastes good, and the attentive employees make it a pleasant experience. I know I’ll keep coming to Ember Korean BBQ.

One of the best kbbq place i go to. Clean place. But what is rare is that their meat just looked good, better than other places. Also they were the fattier cuts, so they were flavorful, and naturally didn't stick. Good portion too. Steaks at kbbq were usually meh, but the steaks at this place were actually very decent. I will definitely come back again

Enjoyed our dinner here. I made a reservation for a Saturday night party of 6. Everyone was attentive and prompt. All the meat items we ordered were great portions and were very good. We really enjoyed our first time here.
