I had the Messi taco and the wife had the Lobster Roll. Both were delicious! I want to try the burgers. The seafood selection was great and the place was fresh and clean. Highly recommended.

Southern Anchor Fresh Market is hands-down one of Dothan’s best hidden food stops. Their menu lets you order steamed shrimp plates, full pounds of shrimp, and seared-tuna or shrimp tacos that hit the spot every time. The quality of their seafood and meat selection is exceptional, I've tried lobster rolls, pork ribeyes, and more and everything is fresh and flavorful. The market itself is well-maintained and clean, and the owner takes time with customers, even offering samples and sharing cooking tips. Their homemade dips, ready-made meals, and daily specials make this place more than "just a seafood market." If you want real, honest flavors and a shop that cares about quality, Southern Anchor Fresh Market is worth the trip.

My wife and I visited Southern Anchor Fresh Market today 1/10/26 and we are happy with the food. I had red snapper and she had the salmon. They prepared the food for us with the right seasoning. We also like the crawfish etouffee soup. We bought two more of the crawfish etouffee soup to bring to Columbus, GA. When you are in Dothan, please pass by and say hello to Cody.

We picked up two ribeyes last night from southern anchor. They were gorgeous. We seared them in cast iron and basted them with butter infused with garlic cloves and rosemary sprigs. Old school, but perfect. We didn’t take a picture of that, though. So, here’s the New Orleans Bbq shrimp we made earlier this year. Hands down the best whole gulf shrimp I’ve found locally. The tuna dip slaps, too. It’s such a convenient location and the staff are so nice.

Wow! I kept getting these posts about smoked burgers and tacos almost everyday on FB! So, I had to give it a shot! Blown away by the amount of shrimp and slaw on my taco that it took a fork to finish it all. The smoked bacon cheese burger…so so delicious! Cannot wait to take my bride there!

Visited for the first time on a Thursday when they were offering Phillies and potatoes. It was delicious!! I also got a container of cowboy caviar which was also great. It had just the right amount of spice. Absolutely loved everything. Although I didn't purchase any fish, they seemed to have a nice selection that looked good. Everything was super clean and organized. The owner was a pleasure to speak with and has answered all my questions on messenger. Truly exceptional customer service which I greatly appreciated. You just don't get that kind of customer service at bug chain stores. I will definitely be back.

Awesome fresh selection of meat and seafood! Owner was super friendly and very polite! I ended up going with a ribeye and the quality of their meat is way better than your local grocery store. I’d rather pay a little extra for good quality. Highly recommend trying if you have not! The owner also said if you want anything out of the ordinary, call a day before and place your order.
