I’ve only had ramen once in my life before visiting Johnny Noodle King, so I walked in with equal parts curiosity and excitement. The moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted by Nolan, whose energy was so warm and attentive that it immediately put me at ease. I had already done my research and knew exactly what I wanted, and to my surprise, the food came out quickly—no long wait, just straight to the good part. Even as the restaurant got busier, the service stayed flawless. Cody jumped in to help while Nolan was tied up, and Taylor wasn’t far behind with an extra hand. I genuinely love seeing a team that works well together and has fun doing it; it makes the whole dining experience feel lighter and more enjoyable. And let me just say—the place is adorable. Cozy, inviting, and full of personality. But the real highlight? The ramen. Every bite was packed with flavor, layered, rich, and way beyond what my first-ever ramen experience prepared me for. Johnny Noodle King made my second bowl of ramen a memorable one—and definitely not my last.
Snow Day with my Grand 👧 👧 and the bonus Grand 👧. We spent a fabulous day in the snow yesterday. Layered up we ran a few errands and then headed to Johnny King Noodle on Fort St in Detroit. We saw the view of the Detroit River and The Ambassador Bridge and headed in to have some much needed Hot Lunch. Johnny King noodle has a large menu of Ramen and Rice Bowls. Delicious 😋. The best part is they have a kiddie noodle 🍜 that's not on the menu. They also have a Dorm room noodle 🍜 bowl that the youngsters can create their own bowls. Saves me the headache of picking through what everybodues likes are. This was a big hit. We smashed that hot broth and 🍜 🍝 like we had a straw. Except it was chop sticks. Which is another culture experience for my grands to learn. How to use chopsticks. The 4yr old really did a good job with her chopsticks. I was impressed! Anyway, I could talk for paragraphs about this quaint little Jewel but I'll just post a Pic. We ended our day cheering on The Avatar Fire and Ash as it was the cap of our Snow Day Outting. Thank you to our waiters and the cooks they were kind and thorough. I really enjoyed the day. 😌 😌 #Ramen #noodles #Detroit
Such delicious Korean dishes. I enjoyed them so much (sampled my friend’s as well)—the broth was so tasty! They were so delicious I bought two Noodle dishes to go. They’re in the middle of nowhere—almost under the Ambassador Bridge, but I knew it was good as soon as we arrived because the parking lot was packed. Highly recommend!
Great food, staffs are very friendly! I had the Shoyu bowl, my friend from Canada really wanted to come here again (my first time) Raving about good it was. He got the one with kimchi (the first on the menu). We also tried karaage and lobster Rangoon. Thank you!
Everything about Johnny Noodle King is A+! The food is always fresh, delicious, and filling. The staff is helpful and just the overall vibe of the place is incredible. It's smaller but not tiny, there's lots of natural light and even a bar if that's your jam. One of my go to locations to take out of towners (and locals) to impress them.
The atmosphere is very relaxed and the service is always excellent. Chicken bao buns are amazing, a must get. The ramen is perfect. Every time I’m in Detroit I find a way to make it over here.
Food was INCREDIBLE! The chicken and pork bao was my absolute favorite! I got the major thom katsu and it was PHENOMENAL! 10/10 Will be back again!
