What a fantastic experience!! We entered with high expectations and enjoyed a meal that exceeded them. The food and service were impeccable. Starters we sampled included the expertly composed Fluke Crudo (which was refreshing and delicious), Gamja Buchim (tuna sashimi on a potato pancake with wasabi-infused sour cream!), Dukboki Fundido (an incredible internationally-influenced dish incorporating Oaxacan cheese and Mexican chorizo alongside thick Asian noodles) and Grilled Oysters (savory and delicious with butter and herbs). All were exceptional. For entrees, we greatly enjoyed Maine Uni Bibimbap (possibly our favorite dish of the night, absolutely delicious!) and the Bulgogi (some of the best I’ve had anywhere). Throughout the evening, we tried 3 cocktails: The Squid & The Whale was my first drink of the night, and the sesame oil and egg whites were a fantastic treat for my palate. Drink 2 was Seoul Train, similar to a Manhattan with a clever addition of plum wine. My final drink of the night was the NY Sleepover, a delightful sour topped with a Chianti float. The desserts are impressive as well — the Beignets were soft, fluffy, fresh, and impossible to deny even with a full stomach. The crème brûlée was a sweet and elegant finish to a perfect meal. Thanks to the kind and attentive staff, the talented chefs, and everyone who made our meal and evening unforgettable. Park Slope is blessed to have Haenyeo, but diners from all over should make an effort to visit this exceptional restaurant.

This is definitely not average Korean restaurant, it is so contemporary that you get hint of it's Korean heritage only by reading menu (for better or worse). The place, if I am not mistaken it is mentioned in Michelin Guide, but in my opinion worth a star. The food was delicious and although by the end I was so full I couldn't stop eating until the plate was clean. Kalbi jjim which is short ribs and Bulgogi were out of this world! Again I have failed to try their dessert, but definitely will make another trip to this place, hopefully getting chance to try them. The place is very popular so reservation is recommend.

I wish I came to Haenyeo earlier on because I’d hands down say this is the best restaurant in Park Slope. The vibe inside, the staff, and the food are up to standard with some of the best restaurants in the city. Some standouts are their kimchi and bulgogi but I really didn’t have anything that was below average. I 100% will be back soon, hopefully when people are in town so we can show them some delicious food. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area (or even outside the area and are reading this).

I recently had an amazing dining experience at Haenyeo, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the perfect tone for the evening. A huge shoutout to Izzy at the bar—she was incredibly informative, attentive, and made us feel truly taken care of. Her friendly and professional service really stood out! Now, onto the food—absolutely phenomenal. We started with the Fluke Crudo and Grilled Oysters with Seaweed Butter on Brioche Toast—both were fresh, flavorful, and a perfect start to the meal. The Dukboki Fundido was next, and let me tell you, that sauce was straight-up crack—more on the sweet side than spicy, but still rich, saucy, and cheesy perfection with the chorizo and Oaxaca cheese bringing it all together. The kimchi was also excellent, adding just the right amount of tangy spice to complement everything. And to top it all off, we were treated to Sugar-Dusted Beignets—light, fluffy, and simply Soooo good! Everything about Haenyeo was top-notch, from the impeccable service to the unforgettable flavors. Can’t wait to come back—highly recommend!

My husband and I have been to Haenyeo approximately 3-4 times at least. We have tried different items on the menu. I especially like the Dukboki Fundido, Suun Dubu, Ojingo Bibimbop and the Bulgogi. It saddens me that they no longer serve the seafood bouillabaise because it’s one of my favorites. From the dessert menu, we had the beignets and the warm chocolate cake — both equally good. We’re not big on alcohol so we haven’t tried any of their cocktails. The restaurant was full every single time we were there and the space is not that big so it felt a bit crowded. But the service was fast and efficient and we didn’t feel hurried. We would definitely go there again.

Super yummy cocktails and food. Our server was great too, very attentive. Great options for vegetarians. Definitely planning to come back!

We had a fabulous feast at this super comfortable little spot. Comfort is the key word, the food, the atmosphere, the warmth of the owner and staff. Our waitress immediately understood my egg sensitivity because she had one as well and was so kind in letting me know which foods would be triggers. Drinks were also excellent and unusual. Just a great time!
