YAMI Korean & Japanese Restaurant

We had a fantastic meal at Yami Korean & Japanese Grill. From the moment we sat down, the staff was friendly and attentive, checking in without being overbearing and making sure everything came out just right. We started with Peach Soju, which was light, slightly sweet, very refreshing. The Kimchi Pancake was a great appetizer: crispy on the outside, soft inside, and packed with that tangy, slightly spicy kimchi flavor that makes it so addictive. For mains, the Beef Bibimbap was great especially during a cooler night. It’s a rice bowl served on a sizzling bowl, topped with seasoned beef, vegetables, and egg, and once you mix everything together, you get a perfect balance of savory, spicy, and comforting flavors in every bite. The Soon Tofu Jigae came out hot and bubbling. It is a rich, warming stew made with soft silken tofu and a flavorful broth that’s slightly spicy and incredibly comforting. We also ordered the Korean Steamed Egg, which was light, fluffy, and almost custard like. The Chicken Katsu rounded everything out nicely with a crispy breaded exterior and juicy chicken inside, served with a classic sweet-savory sauce. Banchan was included with the meal, which is always a plus. For anyone unfamiliar, banchan are traditional Korean side dishes (like seasoned or pickled vegetables) served with your food to be shared and enjoyed throughout the meal. They really add variety and enhance the overall experience. Yami is consistent providing great food, welcoming service, and a comfortable atmosphere.

I came here several times before and still find myself coming back again. The food and service is phenomenal here. The owner and the staff are really friendly and the bbq is always such a hit. The meal ended with a mango desert that really sealed the dinner with a happy ending. Truly recommend if you’re in the mood of Japanese or Korean food!

Food and Service are sensational. Ownership recently changed and you can tell. Our server, Sydney, who also acted as the front of house was 10/10 attentive, and constantly getting us more sides and making sure we had everything we needed. Special shout out to Eugene who also came by to help a lot and gave awesome recommendations. Come for the food, stay for the friendly service and authentic atmosphere. Just look at the marbling on the beef, unreal.

Best Korean BBQ in the Boynton Beach area! The quality of the meat and sushi is top-notch. You must try the Snowflake Short Rib!!! super juicy, tender, and the marbling is on another level! The Seafood Pancake was also amazing. I’ve lived in the States for 20 years, and honestly, this was the best one I’ve ever had thick yet crispy! I’m a big fan of uni, and theirs was a perfect 10/10. No fishy taste at all just rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere feels so authentic, and the service was outstanding. Mina and Eugene took such great care of us. If you’re trying Korean BBQ for the first time, this is the place to go!! you’ll finally taste what real Korean BBQ should be like!

My friend recommended this place and the second I saw they had tteokbokki i just knew i had to go! It was delicious and spicy and just wow. I was so happy. I also got sushi and a friend had a soup and we were really happy with the food. It tasted amazing. The servers were so kind and nice. The place is big and so cute. I recommend it ᡣ𐭩

Just had an excellent dinner with my wife and my son at Yami Korean restaurant. We had the Korean Barbecue and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. In particular the skirt steak and pork belly was excellent. The service was great and the price was reasonable. Definitely will go back soon.

Great experience. Server and other staff was nice. This place is very neat and clean. Food is amazing. Loved the potato side dish. The BBQ experience is worth it.
