Gerard's 1907 Tavern

I’m leaving a long review because this place deserves it. We’ve dined here at least a dozen times and I can say, without a doubt, that this is the best restaurant in town. If anyone else says their favorite restaurant is somewhere else, they’re lying, and are secretly gatekeeping THIS restaurant. They have the best burgers in town (with many to choose from), their specials are always good, the service is ALWAYS top notch, the prices are perfectly reasonable and the atmosphere of the restaurant is classy, yet casual enough to bring a date there last minute without worrying about being underdressed. The menu itself is thoughtfully upscale, yet familiar enough that everything sound’s appetizing while still sounding adventurous. The Parmesan eggplant fries with basil pesto aioli are hard not to love for an appetizer, and the fig and brie burger OR the pesto goat-cheese burger are both phenomenal options that will make you plan your next visit back to the restaurant after the first bite. If you live here and haven’t dined here yet, you’re missing out. Impress your wife and plan a surprise date here TONIGHT!

Gerards never disappoints! The food is always good, service is great and atmosphere vibrant! The daily specials are always good while the main menu staples are fail proof! You wont be disappointed!

We stumbled on this gem and what a find it turned out to be! We were lucky to get a table, as it quickly filled up—always a good sign. Despite the rush, the service remained quick, attentive, and genuinely pleasant. The food was outstanding. I ordered the special tortilla soup, which was rich, hearty, and full of flavor. My wife chose the beef stroganoff, and she declared it as good as her grandmother’s—a true testament to the chef. Our daughter had the salmon, perfectly cooked and beautifully seasoned. The drinks were just as impressive. The seasonal sangrias were a hit with the girls—refreshing and delicious—while I enjoyed a blood orange agave margarita that was exceptionally smooth and well-balanced. From start to finish, everything was spot-on. A true hidden gem that we can’t wait to visit again.

Both lunch and dinner are absolutely DELICIOUS here! The restaurant is also so well designed, the vibes are amazing. Not to mention the staff, they were just all so positive and friendly! I know it sounds borderline cheesy, but we truly have such good experiences here that we'll keep coming back again and again! Truly 10/10 restaurant in BG!!

Excellent staff and food! We were seated as soon as we walked in - *we did rsvp*, during which I was asked my preference of low or high top (which was thoughtful, most never ask). Morgan H was our waitress last night and she did an Amazing job - we plan to come back and request her. She is very polite and knowledgeable about the food ingredients, and we didn’t wait for anything. The food and drinks all came out pretty fast which is impressive for a restaurant to do on a full night with no open tables. Do yourself a favor and order the Cuban and fries, best I’ve had in a long time! I took a bite and knew I had to make a review 🙂

Very cool location and good vibe. Our food and sweet tea wasn't the best. Sweet yea and unsweet tasted exactly the same. The appetizer was buffalo dip and it was good but the chips they serve with it are terrible. Something like an old pita chip is not a good fit for the dipping. The food presentation was very very good but the fries with my fish were cold and my daughter's chicken wasn't very flavored and very bland. It took awhile to get our food also for what we ordered. My check was $118 so I definitely don't recommend this place even though it looks nice and cool. The food we ate was overpriced for the value completely honest. Do not recommend

Let me tell you I am SO glad we decided to try something new for my husband’s birthday. He said it was the best burger of his life and their chicken stir fry was incredible! We also had the spinach dip which had SUCH good dipping chips and I definitely enjoyed the rosé of the day. The music and vibe were on point and our waitress was literally the sweetest! We will definitely be back.
