Gopchang Story Boston has quickly become one of my favorite spots for Korean BBQ. I’ve already come twice, and both visits were consistently amazing. The gopchang is rich and flavorful with that perfect crispy texture on the grill, and the side dishes complement everything really well. The staff is super attentive, helpful with cooking, and keep the experience fun without feeling rushed. The atmosphere is lively, making it a great spot to go with friends. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but the quality and overall experience make it absolutely worth it. I’m already looking forward to coming back again.

Went to Gopchang Story Boston and tried the assorted gui, fried rice, and rice cake. The assorted gui was flavorful and nicely grilled, and the portion was good for sharing. The fried rice at the end was tasty and had great texture, and the rice cake was chewy and satisfying.

I decided to try this Korean restaurant after seeing many recommendations on Xiaohongshu. The food was just okay — not impressive considering the price. When it came time to pay, the server preset the tip at 20% on the handheld POS system, which felt a bit pushy. After checking the receipt, I noticed that the tip was calculated based on the post-tax total, which was disappointing. Overall, the dining experience didn’t live up to the hype, and I’m still not sure why this place is so popular.

Food was great. The staff cooked the intestines for you, and made sure that it was cooked to your liking. The intestines had a great flavor to it, almost buttery tasting after cooked. The kimchi stew was a bit sour, but still tasted great. Atmosphere was a bit dark because of the lighting, but overall was a nice environment.

We visited Gochang just a few minutes before it opened. The kimchi pork belly was flavorful, but it became overly salty as the pot continued to boil. The seafood pancake, on the other hand, was excellent, packed with a generous variety of ingredients, making it thick and hearty, rather than just flour-based. The fried rice is not recommended, it was extremely salty. I could only take one bite. Overall, not bad. But If there’s a wait of over 30 minutes, I wouldn’t consider it worth it. My suggestion is to arrive early, just before the restaurant opens, to avoid the wait.

If I could give zero stars, I would - but I’ll give them one because the pork belly was okay I went to Gopchang Story Boston last night, and the service was awful. The waiter dropped off poorly cooked large intestines **super chewy and hard to eat on the edge of our table instead of in the middle, said "enjoy," and walked off. He didn’t set up the grill or check in with us, and the restaurant wasn’t even busy! At the end, another waiter came over, handed us the toast, and stared us down while we were signing! Like he was pressuring us. The check had a 20% tip already checked off, with no breakdown or itemized bill I’ve been here before and it was never this bad. Definitely not coming back!

Most of the workers weren't korean... 17 dollars brisket jjigae wasnt good at all. Brisket was hard(?). We ordered assorted gopchang. The way they cooked it (almost like stirfried not bbqed..), it burnt a lot of meats and unevenly cooked.... personally like how they cook it in new york. More organized. Dont think ill go back.
