Yerin Korean Grill

Yerin is a Korean food restaurant that recently opened and is located in the old China 1 space. Their menu offers some great classic dishes such as bulgolgi and bibimbap (menu listed in photos). We ordered take out and were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. We had the kimchi pancake, spicy rice cakes, spicy pork, and LA galbi. They had our food ready in only 10 minutes. Amazing and delicious! The food was just the right amount of spicy and seasoned perfectly. The meat was tender and flavorful. Their kimchi is crunchy, juicy, and tastes fresh which is always a must when eating Korean food! The portions are generous and we couldn't wait to eat the leftovers the next day. I highly recommend!

So happy to have found a local Korean place. I lived in Korea for 7 years and was really missing the food. Everything was delicious. The chicken was crispy, the kimbap was delicious and the tteokbokki I have been craving for a week was perfect. We tried as much as we could in a visit including getting stuff for lunch the next day! I’ve been wanting an authentic seafood pancake since I’ve started watching mukbangs😂 the spicy rice cakes was good but the best thing I ordered was the spicy kimchi stew 🍲 it was just chef’s kiss 💋 I was worried about the wait times after reading the reviews but my food was promised in 20 mins and it was ready in 20 mins. The lady who cooks the food is so sweet 🥹

Very, very good! Their kimchi was very fresh and the service was amazing. I highly recommend this place even as someone who can't handle spice and who doesn't usually eat Korean.

As Korean living in Baton Rouge, I am excited to see an authentic Korean restaurant other than Asian fusion restaurants. They seemed to gain more help so I had no problems getting my food. The wait time significantly improved. Food is good. I do and will go there again. I recommend it. However, I feel like they opened this place up before renovation. The previous owner’s signs and pictures are still within the restaurant. Still, it feels messy and bit disorganized. Since my first impression, they did well.

Was so excited to find a Korean place in Baton Rouge! This place is definitely still getting its footing, but I think is going in a good direction. There is still no website and the sign for China One is still up. Every dish we got was flavorful and well-portioned. I do wish kimchi came with the order. But overall really great Asian take-out. I am hopeful for this restaurant and will certainly order again!

So like others have said, there is a long wait time for food, and that's because I found out that it's a one woman show doing all the cooking! However, it is FABULOUS AND TOTALLY WORTH THE WAIT!! I've been waiting for authentic Korean in BR since I moved here 5 years ago and this is it! I got the Kimbap and spicy tofu stew and it tasted just like homemade. You can tell there is a lot of love in the food and I wish the owner much success and will be back! Order early and pick up if you're in a hurry, but definitely support this new BR restaurant!
