DAM-A, Hot Pot & BBQ AYCE - Austin Hotpot

To think we have driven by this place many times and never stopped to eat here. We did yesterday and my gosh it was the best restaurant experience I ever had. The staff was great, the food delicious. It is All You Can Eat, but you go get what you want. It is not like other K-bbq joints, where you order what you want and have to wait. The owner heard we were eating there & heading back to San Antonio. She came out with the most tender, short rib cut. We just seared a few seconds & it was like butter when ate it. HIGHLY recommend this place!!! We will be going back soon!

Shabu Shabu Tips! 1. Order a mushroom broth. If you’re with a group, only one person needs to order the mushroom broth. 2. Enjoy the ingredients to your liking until you’re almost full. However, don’t add strongly flavored ingredients like cilantro into the mushroom broth use mild vegetables like bok choy, napa cabbage, and wood ear mushrooms, and only add thinly sliced beef. 3. Pour about half of the mushroom broth, now filled with the flavors of the vegetables and meat, into another empty bowl. Then, add a few more pieces of vegetables, mushrooms, and meat to the remaining broth and let it cook. 4. Chop the ingredients in the broth into smaller pieces using tongs and scissors. 5. Add steamed rice and a raw egg into the broth. 6. Stir well and simmer for about 5 minutes, then eat when it’s just right! Enjoy it with kimchi. It would have been perfect if there was some sesame oil too…

A truly wonderful lunch experience. Firstly, the service is beyond exceptional; friendly, attentive and helpful. The ingredient selection is fresh and vast. The sauce station allows you to perfect your meal to your tastes. I cannot recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a new hot pot / bbq spot.

This is my second time visiting this restaurant, and I love it even more! The place is very clean, well-organized, and beautifully set up. It’s a Korean buffet where you can enjoy both BBQ and hotpot at the same time. There’s a wide variety of options – quality meats, lots of fresh vegetables, side dishes, kimchi fried rice, desserts, ice cream, and even coffee. The staff are all very attentive, always checking in, smiling, and changing the grill when needed. A special shoutout to Julie – she is truly the best! Highly recommended for anyone who loves Korean food. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We usually eat here around lunch time and there's never a wait. Recently did dinner here and it was slightly packed but still no wait. Notice it does it get a little smokey when there's a lot more people. Food is good and the staff are so incredibly nice. Very clean too. You get both hotpot and the bbq not either or for one price!

I visited Dam-A Hot Pot yesterday and had such a great experience! The vegetables were really fresh, and I loved the wide variety of options for seafood and BBQ meats. Everything was high quality and very flavorful. They also offer tasty ready-to-eat appetizers that made the meal even better. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. If you’re looking for a place with lots of choices, fresh ingredients, and a fun hot pot experience, I highly recommend Dam-A Hot Pot!

Service - Very little. They will come pick up dishes, check in if you need more soup for the hot pot, drinks if you got one, and change your grill. That’s it, you do the rest (water will be in a pitcher and serve yourself). Food - Hotpot, soup is not seasoned. How you going to have lemon in the water to give it flavor but not the soup? The only thing going is the appetizers, seasoned beef and chicken, and ice cream. Everything is subpar. Atmosphere - You have to make a reservation. For how much it costs and serve yourself, you don’t feel waited on like other places like KPot. We didn’t enjoy our experience and won’t be back.
