I spent about an hour and a half to two hours walking around the Castle Air Museum, mostly exploring the outdoor exhibits. The planes on display were incredible, and it was fascinating to see so many up close. The staff were not only super friendly but also very knowledgeable and helpful, happy to answer questions and share insights about the aircraft. Definitely worth a visit if you're into aviation or just looking for a fun, educational outing!

A must see if you’re in Central California. Great selection of bombers & fighters from WW2 and up. Gift shop has something for everyone, and the museum has some really neat memorabilia.

Fun for all ages. You could easily spend half a day seeing all the planes and touring a retired Presidential Transport. Admission for adults $25.00, Seniors $20.00, and children 6-17 $15.00. To see the VC-9 Presidential Transport, it’s an additional $10.00 per person. Parking is free. Castle Air is located between San Francisco and Yosemite National Park. If you are an aviation fan, this stop is a must. The staff and volunteers were all top notch. If you want to tour the presidential plane, which I highly recommend, purchase your tickets in the gift shop. You are allowed to take as many videos and photos of the outside. No interior photos are allowed. You are encouraged to ask any questions along the tour. The inside of the presidential plane is air conditioned. Pack water or you can purchase water and snacks in the gift shop. There is also a coffee shop inside. Bring your walking shoes and be ready to be wowed. 10/10! Fun for the whole family

If you like military planes then you will e this museum. I’ve been here a few times and always enjoy the trip when I visit. They also have an open cockpit day twice a year where you can get to step into the plane - not all of them but several of them. Definitely worth a visit if aviation is your thing.

Amazing location if you like military planes and war history ! The guides were really great and told us some incredible stories about those planes. The restaurant is very tiny but the folks were super nice and the burger excellent 🙂 Parking was easy and plenty !

I went to this museum with my wife and son and we should not get disappointed. They have a lot of old airplanes out there, most of them are military ones. They even have Russian MiGs. One of our favorite planes though was the Blue Eagle Boeing F/A-18 Super Horner. Please bear in mind that the museum is in the open and the sun can get very hot here. Also, if you want to the former Airforce One from inside, you have to come on the weekend and purchase an extra ticket for it.

What an awesome experience it was to see this incredible aircraft collection. By far the best collection I’ve ever seen. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They seem to really enjoy working here and live the aircraft. Such a cool part of history. They have a nice big parking lot and bathrooms. You can bring your dog too!
