Happy hour here is a solid option if you’re looking for good deals and big portions that won’t leave you hungry. The food itself was tasty—nothing overly fancy, but it hit the spot. The service was impressively fast, which is always a win, especially during happy hour. That said, the ambiance was kind of disappointing. We visited on a Wednesday around 5 PM, and the place was almost completely empty. It felt more like a quick stop for a meal rather than a lively spot to hang out and enjoy yourself. To make it worse, there were three TV screens in the room, but none of them were on, which made the whole place feel even more lifeless. Another downside is the lack of a full bar. If you’re hoping for cocktails or hard liquor, you’ll be out of luck here. They only offer a small selection of wines and a few beers, which limits the drink options. While the hostess was very friendly and polite, it wasn’t enough to make up for the overall dull atmosphere. For those thinking about ordering crab, be aware that the utensils are pretty minimal—just a cracker and shears, no picks or anything else to help with the messy work of getting to the meat. All in all, it’s a good spot to grab a quick meal if you’re hungry, but it’s definitely not the kind of place you’d choose for a fun hangout or to soak up a lively vibe. They’ve got the food and service down, but they’re missing that extra touch that makes you want to stick around longer. If they worked on the ambiance and drink options, this place could really level up.

I recently dined at Ocean 9 Crab Cajun & Seafood in Antioch, and while there were some highlights, a few issues stood out. The combo basket with Cajun sauce was over-spiced to the point that it overwhelmed the flavors of the seafood. Additionally, the dining area had a strong kitchen food-burning smell that made the experience less enjoyable. That said, the fishing-themed decor is beautifully done, adding a lot of character to the space. However, the area was quite dark, which detracted from the overall ambiance. What really earned this place three stars is the excellent customer service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about the customer experience. Their effort is greatly appreciated, and I hope the other areas improve to match their level of service.

One of my top picks for seafood in the Antioch area! We ordered the #3 and it was cooked perfectly. 2 whole crabs, 2 lobster tails, 2 corn on the cob, 2 potatoes, 2 eggs, 4 sausages and 1/2 lb each of shrimp, clams, mussels and crawfish. We definitely ate off this for 2 days. The garlic noodles were tasty and our order came out pretty quickly. A nice touch is the heated tabletops they have to keep your food warm while you eat. They have a kids menu with reasonable non seafood options. Although I didn’t have children, there were children there and they seem to enjoy the couple of arcade games they have. I also like the under the sea decor. 10/10 I recommend!

Decided to try this place. Had the fish & chips along with some new england clam chowder. The chowder was basically a lame potato soup served with oyster crackers. I should have known better. Crab meat was available as an up charge if I wanted it. The fish was so thin. Almost all breading and lacked any kind of flavor like the soup. The French fries were actually the best of the meal. I only gave the food 2 stars because it wasn't spoiled. Service was slow and pathetic. The atmosphere was tacky at best. I kept waiting for the strippers to appear. Lol. Don't waste your time or money!

With mixed emotion, I'm giving 3 stars at this point in time. I came for the first time 2 months ago with friends that rave about the fish n chips. That was excellent and priced very well. Today I placed a phone order for one crab with no sides. That cost $50. I was price shocked but bought it anyway since it was for my wife. She is asian and knows her way around crab very well. Apparently they clean out the inside of the main shell of all the contents she likes (the yucky stuff). Where is it all at she asked. To add to that, it was small and she claimed the crab wasn't fresh. We've been married 20 years, I trust her judgment. The Cajun sauce was great, but I can't see putting it all over the outside of the crab. It doesn't make it to the inside for flavoring, and makes a colossal mess while cracking and trying to eat it. Best I think to have it on the side.

This is the second time we have ordered from here and both times we ordered Combo Bucket #2. Came with 3 different types of seafood (mussels, shrimp, and crabs), also came with sausage, potatoes, and corn. This is one of the best seafood boil I’ve tasted. I used to drive to San Jose to get sea food boil now we have one in the area, I’m so glad they opened here. I totally recommend this place. There is an option to dine in or dine out (outside dinning available). Looks like a fun place to celebrate birthdays. The price is not bad at all for the amount of food you get. The service is fast and the people are friendly. Oh I had an expired coupon and they still let me use it. How cool is that? I saved $10 on my purchase! They are practicing COVID-19 protocols so be prepared.
