bb.q Chicken Ann Arbor

I always order the Golden Original Whole Chicken, and I’m always 100% satisfied! I’m amazed at how fresh their chicken is and how consistently they maintain the same high quality. The boneless portion is huge, crispy, and perfectly sauced. My kids love the Honey Garlic and Cheesling flavors! I personally prefer dark meat since it’s juicier than the tender, but I recommend trying the Whole Chicken or Wings instead of the Boneless if you don’t like dark meat, since their boneless is made from dark meat. I also tried their Open Sandwich Club that was posted on the outside window — the buttered bread is delicious, and the spicy mayo is just amazing! All of the employees are welcoming, attentive, and kind. The restaurant is very clean, and they wipe down the tables right away after customers leave. I’ll definitely keep coming back as always!

This was our first time eating here. I had heard the chicken was really good, but it's surpassed anything I imagined. I had the cheesy chicken, the honey, garlic, chicken, and the original chicken. All three were outstanding. The waitress who helped us was really nice. The restaurant is extremely clean.

Best chicken I’ve had in a long time, crispy and fresh to order. The cheeseling fries are 10/10 will try again and again🤤🤤 Staff is nice and friendly, they immediately let you know there is a 20-25 minute wait for food, which was fine with me, lets me know food was cooked to order. Only problem and I would necessarily say problem, but bring a jacket it is very 🥶 if you want to dine in.

This place was awesome! The staff folks were super friendly and nice, and the chicken was SO JUICY. It was my first time and I expected the boneless wings to be smaller, but they were huge. Sweet potato fries were also great, very tender. Definitely recommend !

I am not the biggest fan of fried chicken. It turns out it’s because I have never had good fried chicken. (Sorry to all the tendies out there, I *did* love you first.) This is really the best chicken. Even the next day it is still crispy and delicious. #witchcraft

Update: Second time coming here, the hot & spicy barely had any of the tasty spicy sauce that we love. Quite disappointing. Still friendly service and fresh, albeit tiny chicken wings. Original: We have a bb.q near our place that is a favorite takeaway option, but our branch doesn’t have the Hot Mala or the Wings of Fire. We were keen to try these flavors at the Ann Arbor branch. Verdict is that both the Hot Mala and Wings of Fire are good, wings are fresh (a bit on the smaller side) and the batter is crispy even with the sauce coating. That said the heat level is quite similar to the Hot & Spicy, which is our favorite one. Restaurant was clean and comfortable. Service was good and friendly, just a little long to wait for the order to come out despite the place not being that busy, but I know they fry everything fresh so it’s understandable.

**Update: WARNING: BEFOR EATING HERE- understand the chicken is so tender, delicious, crispy and flavorful that you will not be able to enjoy any other Fried Chicken brands** *TLDR: Best crispy chicken you will find. Korean Fried Chicken is the crispiest kind you can get and BB.Q is the best of any Korean chicken I can find in the US. The boneless style are larger than you would ever expect and includes dark meat so it's very juicy. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming with upbeat music. The table and benches were very clean too. Our waitress sat us immediately with a smile. Jay was very polite and attentive explaining any questions we had about the menu. This is the only place I will get Fried Chicken from in Ann Arbor. I recommend trying the cheeseling flavor, I'd you don't want it on chicken try it on the fries.
