In this GED program, you will receive a high school diploma, not a GED. While this program may be suitable for some, I found it was not the right fit for me. I want to start by mentioning that this program incurs a fee, and you will also need to pay for each required GED test. For more details, I recommend calling and inquiring directly. One aspect I didn’t like about the program was the requirement to attend every day at a specific time. If you missed any days, you had to complete the makeup homework. Although you are allowed to study and learn at your own pace, I often felt overwhelmed trying to concentrate on my work while overhearing different subjects being explained to other students. Completing the makeup work was also challenging for me, as I had to find time around my hectic daily life. It felt like a waste of time since the homework didn’t count towards obtaining my GED. I was familiar with another program called Orion, which offers a high school diploma. They pull your transcript, and you only need to complete the credits required for graduation. Homework is done online, so there are no on-campus schedule requirements, and the program is free. If you're interested, you can call for more information. I understand that not every program is suitable for everyone. Different strokes for different folks! We all have to choose what is best for ourselves and what works with our mental health and busy lives. Edited in response to Nextstep's reply To clarify, the Orion program also provides on-campus support with staff available to help, as well as computers for use. Information about the WSU Trio program is also offered, and there are no fees associated with the Orion program. Orion pulls your high school transcript, allowing you to complete only the credits you need to finish your high school diploma at your own pace. All homework, tests, and quizzes completed at Orion count towards your high school diploma. At NextStep Alliance, I was informed by staff that you will receive a high school diploma, not a GED, as I mentioned earlier. For anyone interested, check out both NextStep and Orion to see which program is the best fit for you. The goal is to obtain a high school diploma or GED; it’s not about which is better, as both programs are great. Orion is simply a better fit for me, and I’m glad both programs exist.
This school is trash . I do not recommend. Definitely a waste of time for sure!! They don’t teach you anything that’s even on the test. And don’t even teach you 2 of the other subjects that you have to test on. The whole entire program is a lie , they just want money!! Also they get you hyped up and off wsu tech classes but don’t mention how you have to have a high score on the reading and math test . They wait to tell you that when you go ask can you get enrolled to the wsu tech classes. I was attending ever green campus and the teachers didn’t even know what they were teaching, and would even tell the students they forgot how to teach . They were very old and didn’t know what they were even doing!!!! 0/10 I do not recommend at all please do not go and waste your time!!
6 signs at the street that say enroll today for GED classes! So i bring my son in and they say their not accepting anymore students! Take your signs down so people don't waste their time.
Went all of last year and it really helps if you weren't getting the attention you needed during normal school, they have way less restrictions than normal highscool, I'd recommend it to anyone
This place sucks. They don’t even have classes for the history and science test that you have to take. They pretty much say sorry your sol
I just hope the teacher who is named Lisa is not working there anymore I would love to come back , she was a terrible teacher And I remember when I was there 10 people have walked out from her class and Give up.
It's my second week of classes. I love it. Everything is perfect 👍🏻
