Stop to get fuel and found a rare good old fashioned restaurant with true homemade from scratch food with excellent service. I order the chicken fried chicken with fried okra and squash. It came with dinner roll and cup broccoli and cheese soup all homemade taste like you were sitting at your grandma’s house eaten freshly made meal. My server was very kind, polite and kept my drink filled. Definitely worth stoping in, if you want homemade meal.

Really old place, good size bathrooms but in rough shape, don’t provide wash cloths so bring your own, the rowels are clean but as rough as sand paper so great for exfoliating 😜 Bathrooms need to flush twice because won’t clean on the first try Both washer out of service so no laundry available The restaurant is good and their staff amazing but it’s the only salvageable of the whole stop Would not stop here again as a truck driver

Stayed here for 27 days. My vehicle broke down and had to wait for my next SSI check. The manager checked on me to see if the vehicle was abandoned. Bathrooms are clean at least 2 times a day. But, the toilet's need to be flushed twice after usage. Some people think the last person didn't give a courtesy flush. The Restaurant food is great. A little pricey for my pocket. 2 meals for $31.37. They do have showers. And laundry machines. But, the TV is unplugged and the sets are hard wooden lawn chairs. ( Probably due to employee misuse of privileges. ) Or because the echo of the volume in the hallway from the TV is probably over bearing. But, it is a good place to recharge your cell phone.😊. And personally, I think they are over TAXING on food and drink items. ( Only the paper cup and lid should be taxed. Not the liquid put in them. ) Grocery stores don't do it. So, why do they? And how much taxes are applied in Texas anyways???🤔. It seems to me that many gas stations and Truck Stops do this to their customers these days. Over Taxation seems to be the thing to do to get ahead. Really, the government does it, so, why can't they??? Still glad they didn't kick me off the property with a broken down Truck and no money for 27 days. Tow truck comes tomorrow at 7:am. Should be on the road again by evening. Headed back to Michigan. Ps... The employees are very nice, kind, considerate, and friendly.

This is a true American/Texas truck stop, sign says 24/7 truck stop is but restaurant is open 6a-11p. I came in for breakfast and ordered a true Texas staple, chicken fried steak and eggs. For the 14.99 you get a true Texas size portion of hand breaded steak two fluffy biscuits, eggs and hashbrowns. Coffee is stout, and you know the kind, the stuff that leaves a black ring in the cup. This truck stop is old but clean, includes a chrome shop, high flow flow pumps, and grab and go sandwiches and pizza for lunch, and hot breakfast sandwiches for you early risers. Dedicated smoking section for those smokers. Plenty of dirt lot parking in the back. Make this a planned stop on your ride up or down 287. You won’t be disappointed.

I have to start of with my waitress Nikki, she was an absolute sweetheart the whole time. The cook definitely took his time with preparing the food for the few of us that were in there. All around I liked it and will make this my new stop when heading into Dallas.

Not everyone who looks like you is also a bigot. The cashier openly and loudly badmouthed another customer after he politely rendered legal tender for his goods. The moment he was out, the cashier started her evil as if we were all of a like mind. For the record, that man was SIKH, not Muslim, though I sincerely doubt the distinction matters, as I'm positive the cashier has enough hate to go around for anyone different from her. Never let ignorance get in the way, I suppose. I'm writing this for myself, because I drive through so often, I need to remember not to give these folks my money. If you're a member of a vulnerable or targeted group, or simply a decent human being, I would strongly urge you to avoid this place. Shame on these folks.

On December 5, 2025, we moved from Dallas. Along the way, after hours of driving, I arrived at a truck stop located 179 miles away from Dallas. We decided to spend the night there and rest. The truck stop was truly great—clean, peaceful, and decorated with beautiful local items that gave a pleasant feeling. The next morning, when we woke up, my two daughters—Zamzam and Hooran—were happily looking around with excitement. They really loved this truck stop. They enjoyed the Texas atmosphere so much that as soon as they saw a beautiful Texas logo, we bought it as a souvenir. After a good rest and a pleasant experience, we continued our journey and finally arrived at our new destination, Pocatello, Idaho—a place where a new chapter of our lives was about to begin."
