California Karate Academy

I love everything about this place. My daughter is 4 years old and at first she wasnt sure but our teacher is so good. She quickly was able to have my daughter engaged in what she was teaching. My daughter caught on so quickly I was so proud of her. The teacher is sweet and a caring person & is really good with the young kiddos. I definitely recommend this place ❤️

Such dedication EVERY SINGLE CLASS! As a mom I know how hard it is to discipline a group of kids while also making them happy, proud, progress and respect each other. All instructors and assistants do a great job, but I absolutely admire our instructor Sah Bum Nim Arango - I think its a rare talent to be such a professional. Every single child listens, its never boring, they grow, exercise, excel every day. I can't express my appreciation enough, really happy to have found you! May you always prosper and have many many many happy students!

We absolutely love it here! All of the instructors are amazing; they challenge the students to work hard and be disciplined, while also making it fun!

This is our home studio. The team here is very kind and patient. Very willing to work with your kids thru whatever season they are in. Good discipline and lots of fun too. So happy to be here.

Fantastic family like atmosphere. Wonderful genuine teachers who find the right balance to keep it fun while giving their students structure, encourage respect for each other and strengthen resilience and discipline. We also appreciated how well the older students supported the younger ones and that the studio enables them to be role models by involving them in teaching. We are so glad our daughter gets to attend this school and we are blown away how it changed her in a positive way. She always looks forward to going, which speaks for itself.

CKA has been a gift to our family. We started our oldest son there at 4 years and now at 7 yo, he has grown in maturity, strength and we’ve gained an amazing community. We’ve now started our three yo son in classes and we can’t wait to watch him grow. Thank you to SBN Mikita and SBN Arango for all the amazing work they do ❤️

My daughter attended the California Karate Academy at the Vista location for over a year, and it was a wonderful experience. She thoroughly enjoyed learning from Sah Bum Nim Arango (the master instructor) and the other instructors, who were incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and supportive. They excel at balancing discipline with encouragement, helping kids develop both their skills and confidence. One thing that really stood out to us was how well-organized the academy is. Their belt testing process is clear, structured, and motivating for the students. Additionally, the competition schedule is thoughtfully planned, providing excellent opportunities for kids to challenge themselves and celebrate their progress in a supportive environment. Unfortunately, we had to move and could no longer continue at the academy, which was a very difficult decision given how much my daughter loved being there. We are extremely grateful for everything the California Karate Academy team has done for her. I highly recommend this school to any family looking for a positive and enriching martial arts program.
