Great place to eat and have drinks! A wide variety of beer selection on tap and some creative cocktails. Delicious small plates for sharing! There is also beautiful decorations with a church theme, which really adds to the overall experience. We highly recommend for a date night. This is a really great addition for food/drink selections for Tuscaloosa!
It's Restaurant Week in Tuscaloosa right now and the options are amazing! Where do I start??? The Chorizo Mussels have abundant flavor and a nice little kick of spicy. (I'm going to use the extra sauce with some pasta noodles.) The Lamb Meatballs are savory and just the perfect portion.
Amazing experience! We travel a lot for work all over the U.S. and Canada and eat out a lot. Would 100% come visit this place again! Food was well-designed and delicious and it came out SO fast. We got the three taco options, the stuffed mushrooms and the stuffed jalapeños. We were not expecting how excellent the food was! We chose Sloth and Envy for our drinks and thoroughly enjoyed them. Exceeded expectations! Waiter was friendly, offered great suggestions (which ended up being our favorites), and very prompt with everything.
Fairly new restaurant near the historic Drisch House off Greensboro in Tuscaloosa. Set in a partially restored vacant church. The menu is full of appetizers and small plates. The bacon wrapped dates were the best surprise - delicious. Everything ordered was excellent.
Great place, with fun atmosphere, comfortable seating and wonderful Tapas dishes. I especially recommend the corn dip and the steak tacos. Extra shout out to Anna who have been just a wonderful waitress, and made us two out-of-towners feel welcomed.
Unique vibe - it's in converted church - sets this restaurant and bar apart. High ceilings, sound-absorbing drapes, mood lighting, upholstered booths, eclectic decor with royal and art deco flourishes. For those who remember 301 in Tuscaloosa, it's a bit of that, only more cavernous. Cute back patio with a lawn and a small stage, in addition to a performance stage in the main indoor dining area. Massive screen above the bar for watching the big game. Whether this place is good for a classy date night or an over-decorated sports bar depends on how often that screen gets used. The tapas style small dishes provide variety and accommodates vegetarian and gluten free diets. Two of us split the bacon wrapped dates, street corn dip, fried cauliflower, croquettes, and sausage stuffed mushrooms. Very good but not top-tier elite cuisine. Terrific cocktails, not outrageously expensive. Good location that's set back from crowded downtown but not too remote. Definitely worth a try!
The atmosphere and food here are amazing! I always love dining here, and my experience was even better thanks to our wonderful waiter, Maggie Ray. She was attentive, friendly, and made the whole visit memorable. Highly recommend!
