Clary Sage College

I'm writing this review for the massage therapy program at Clary Sage College. First off, this school receives government loans (FAFSA) yet still centralizes around Christian ideology. You're introduced to their cult-like ideas as soon as day one. Your first few weeks of school take place at their technical center; it is dirty, the teachers are rude, and the campus gives an overall feel that the school exploits low-income students. Second, the woman who runs the first portion, the introductory class, feels as if she is paid to convert/brainwash/trauma bond the students to the program. She uses man-centric language for "hustle culture", gives low-value information about debt (I assume this is to scare students into paying back their student loans at the end of their education), and has a general sense of "I'm better than you" which she does at least try to hide under a condescending attitude and tone. Before leaving the introductory section of the class, you're given information on how your program will go. If you're doing the massage therapy program, I would be prepared to be talked to like you're an under-developed child with no concept of what's expected in the real world. The language that's used feels as if you now belong to them and your life is not your own for the duration of the course. Think as if you're back in high school, but with less autonomy. The course is expensive for the level of education, professionalism, and experience you will receive. They push you to get through the introduction so that they can lock you into your loans. Do not let admissions or the student loan department gaslight you -- they will absolutely use dialogue that is confusing and unclear so that they can move you through the process quickly and without much of your own thoughts having a space in it. There are better massage programs in the area, most of them have monthly payment plans and discounts for paying in cash. Do not fall for this trap. The woman who owns it is filthy rich though they like to still talk about her "hard times". Irrelevant when she owns several schools and doesn't even bother to update them. Disgusting.

I went in for a facial and I absolutely LOVED it. The aesthetician was super professional and friendly. Speaking of which, I really wanted to highlight the receptionist,Tiara. She was so sweet to make sure that I was in the best hands possible because I do not play when it comes to my skin. Tiara guided the through the process and was still able to book/cash out/ greet other clients at the same time. Give this lady a raise!!!!!

I have went to this beauty college several times. I went two years ago I was very disappointed, very unsatisfied with my hair, I went to cosmetology school years ago teaching still the same today when you start the class you receive a doll Head that’s you practice on curling cutting braiding cutting and different style, when it’s about time for you to take the test to graduate get your license, you start working on customers, and when you start working on customer the instructor will walk around and watch you, so if you make mistake, she can tell you how to do it, instructor place student to my hair didn’t know how to do my hair! And she never did walk over to her station did not even watch her! student was real nervous when she was doing my hair, she knew she didn’t know how to do my hair she told me snd the students that was standing around was saying teacher she knows she don’t know how to do her type of her I did not say nothing because I did not want student to get upset and I was thinking she was going to get a bad grade so I said you did a great job, but I was a upset with instructor like everybody else was so when I left, I just put my hair back in a ponytail and this was a black instructor too. She was wrong because everybody else said she was wrong!!! So if you ever go to a beauty college to get your hair done, you asked upfront I want someone to do my hair That’s getting ready to graduate!! because if you don’t, you’ll be wasting your time and your money you will leave disappointed like I was!

Took my granddaughter to get her shoulder length hair cut to a pixie basically. After an hour I'm going in to look at the progress. I see none! I ask how much more is getting cut off if that little bit of nothing took an hour? Let me tell you this took another hour!!! Now I feel like the person who trains them is responsible more so than the cutter. She seen her having a girl sit for over an hour and still no sign of progress!!! Who does that? So she needs to be spoken to. So the only time anyone needs to be in a chair that long is when they getting permed, colored, bleached etc, etc!

Alyssa was beyond amazing and so sweet!! She went so far above and beyond, my daughter is still ecstatic saying she feels like a princess 🥹 for sure we'll be seeing her again! (If you see this Alyssa thank you so so much!! My daughter thinks your a living doll)

Cruel. Unprofessional. Discriminatory. Stay Away. Our experience at Clary Sage College in Tulsa was absolutely disgusting — and honestly, traumatizing. We brought our 4-year-old autistic, non-verbal son in for their free kids’ haircut event. I called the day before, clearly explained his disability, how he processes things, and asked if they could accommodate him. They assured me they could. That was a complete lie. As soon as we walked in, the attitude changed. Some of the staff treated him like a problem the moment he didn’t sit quietly like a "normal" child. They claimed he was "disturbing" and "scaring" the other kids and told us he needed to be secluded away from everyone else. Then they had the audacity to tell us we were forcing him to do something he didn’t want — when I explained this is how he handles haircuts, and we work through it every single time, with patience. They didn’t care. They were cold, judgmental, and downright cruel. No compassion, no understanding — just stares, rude comments, and ugly looks from the majority of the staff. Then they threw us out in the middle of his haircut. His hair was half done, and he was crying. And the staff didn’t care at all. I spoke to the director, hoping for some level of accountability or apology. Instead, I got blamed for bringing a disabled child to their event. She brushed it off, saying the staff were "stressed," as if that justifies treating a child like trash. No responsibility. No regret. Just excuses. This place is NOT inclusive. They are NOT trained to work with neurodivergent children. What happened to us was discrimination, plain and simple. My child was mistreated because of his disability, and as a mother, I have never felt so hurt, humiliated, and enraged. Shame on every single staff member who stood by and said nothing. Shame on the director for enabling that behavior. And shame on Clary Sage for pretending to be a safe space for kids when they are clearly not. DO NOT take your child here. Especially if they are neurodivergent, sensitive, or anything other than "perfect." This place does not deserve your trust, your time, or your business.

I am extremely impressed with the cosmetology program and would like to take a moment to commend Jessica, the instructor. I visited the facility to serve as a model for a haircut and was impressed by her attentiveness to all students and models. She took the time to listen to my stylist's inquiries regarding my desired haircut and also attended to the needs of others. When my stylist required assistance, Jessica was readily available to provide guidance and constructive feedback. I left Clary Sage that day feeling highly satisfied with my haircut, courtesy of the student stylist and help from her instructor, Jessica.
