International School of Tucson

The International School of Tucson has been an amazing experience for our family. My son is in the German class, and I love that the school offers multiple language tracks including German, Spanish, French, and even Chinese. One of the things that makes IST truly special is that the teachers are native speakers, which means the children are fully immersed in the language from a very young age. The community is warm and welcoming, and it’s clear that the staff genuinely care about the students’ growth and development, not just academically, but culturally as well. The environment encourages curiosity and gives the kids such a unique advantage by exposing them to different languages and perspectives so early in life. We are grateful to be part of IST and would highly recommend it to any family looking for a high-quality international education in Tucson.

The International School of Tucson is absolutely wonderful! I love it, and most importantly, my daughter loves it. The teachers are warm, caring, and dedicated, and the environment is so welcoming and supportive. My daughter is thriving both academically and socially, and she looks forward to going to school every day. The focus on languages and global perspective is such a gift—I feel confident she’s receiving an excellent education that will benefit her for years to come. We couldn’t be happier to be part of this amazing school community!

IST is the BEST school. We feel that our children are cared for and learning every single day. I’m am most impressed by the way the administrators, teachers, and staff are truly invested in the well being of the children. There is a great sense of community and many opportunities to have fun while learning. The hot lunch program is also second to none. We love our school and all that it has to offer!

Our family is so grateful for the years our children spent at the International School of Tucson. From the dedicated teachers to the supportive community, we always felt that our kids were cared for and challenged to do their best. The school not only provided an excellent academic foundation but also helped our children grow in confidence, character, and curiosity. Now that they have graduated, we can truly see how well-prepared they are for their next steps. We'll always look back on our time at IST with appreciation and fond memories.

Our son is in the Spanish class with Miss Medina, and we could not be more grateful for her teaching. She has such a gift with the children, her classroom is full of energy, music, and joy. The kids sing and dance to Spanish songs, and it makes learning the language fun and natural for them. In just a short time, we’ve noticed an enormous impact on our son’s Spanish skills. He comes home excited to share new words and songs with us, and his confidence has grown so much. We love that he is not only learning the language but also building a real love for it. Overall, IST has exceeded our expectations. The teachers, programs, and environment truly make it an amazing school. We feel so fortunate to be part of this community.

I work in public education, but the Covid shutdown forced me to consider IST in 2020. I thought it would be a short term solution until in-person learning resumed in the public schools, but we fell in love with the school and never left. The school is filled with teachers who truly love their students and education. Administration addresses issues immediately, communication is great and the curriculum is rigorous. Plus- low class sizes and no standardized tests. I can’t recommend this Prek - middle school enough.

I'm really happy I enrolled my son into IST. He has learned so much and I have to thank his wonderful teachers and supportive staff for his development. If you are looking for a daycare for your little one, this is a definite must on your shortlist. It's expensive, but worth every penny.
