My children and I have been attending AIK twice a week for 6 years. They train All-Ages, incredibly well, for a very reasonable price. The instructors are INCREDIBLE to say the least, and above all, patient, kind and genuine with the children (and adults!). They teach Spirit, Honor, Discipline, Truth, Bravery, Courtesy, Compassion, Sincerity, Discernment and Loyalty. I have watched as the bring "Little Dragons" to junior instructors and shape them into kind and polite, smart and disciplined individuals. They have multiple instructors each class, so no child is without attention. The self-defense teachings are sound and very memorable. They use repetition to create muscle memory defense while installing properties of awareness and discipline on when/when not to use it. They also have fun games like belt-sparring and dodge ball in all Little Dragons classes which keeps my children wanting to come back every week. The other families all get along and there has never been drama or "incompatibility" between the attending families. They all look after each other, help each other, and care deeply about one another. I will continue my self-defense Kenpo journey as long as I can with AIK. I have seen measurable positive impact on my own children and self since attending. They teach people of all ages without ANY discrimination. I truly love this place. I am currently a Brown belt, and will be going as far as I can take myself through the ranks.

My sons have had such a great experience at AIK. The instructors are good at what they do, they care about the kids, and they are nice as well as fun. Truly kind instructors. The martial arts they teach are very applicable for self-defense.

After retiring from a 35-year career in the aerospace industry, I began working through my bucket list—which included taking martial arts lessons. Without much experience in choosing a school, I tried two other Kenpo schools before finding AIK. While I respect all martial arts institutions, I quickly realized that each has its own pros and cons. When I started attending AIK, I was immediately impressed by the quality of the facility, the professionalism of the instructors, and the helpfulness of the website resources. What stood out most was AIK’s emphasis on ensuring students truly understand the techniques and forms they’re learning. This approach gave me deeper insight and helped me execute more effectively. AIK offers a modern approach to martial arts training, while still emphasizing respect, consideration, and safety. I would highly recommend AIK to anyone interested in learning martial arts—whether for personal health, discipline, or self-defense.

My son and I attended three years of Kenpo Karate and really enjoy Mr. Pilch classes. It's been over a year since we stopped and I really miss going to his classes everytime I come across Martial Arts or anything to do with fighting. I would definitely recommend Mr. Pilch and his black belts trainers. I found Mr. Pilch to be excellent with kids. I wish I could have continued...

We originally chose Karate for my daughter who has ADHD; which I think has helped. My husband has done a form of Martial Arts growing up and was itching to get back into it. He then convinced me to join as well. I absolutely love this location...of course the instructors are the reason! We learn how to defend ourselves with the techniques that are taught and given more information for the just in case. Mr. Pilch and the other instructors at AIK are full of knowledge and experience! I've been doing it for a year now and have no intentions of stopping.

Mr Pilch and all of the instructors here are excellent. I'm retired and I see students of all ages here. The program is well structured, however everyone is taught at their own level with lots of individual attention. And it's lots of fun!

A great place to take your kids. Mr. Pilch and co. do a great job of instilling confidence, discipline and values, alongside a good education in fitness and martial arts skills.
