This was our 3rd time taking a tour with Japan Deluxe Tours and there is a reason for that: because every trip is amazing! They are always changing things up and introducing us to new places in Japan. This time we got to go to the Takayama Festival and it was such a great experience! We have always had fantastic guides and Kana was no exception. Some of the locations we have seen for the third time, but she offered interesting facts that we have not heard before; I had no idea that Hachiko was alive to see his statue. She also had an amazing personality that was full of information and humor. We plan on taking our daughter to Japan for the first time through Japan Deluxe Tours next year and would be delighted to have her as our guide again.

It was terrific working with the team at Japan Deluxe Tours (JDT) specifically Yuki and Ken. They were knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. We worked to customize the itinerary for our wants. The trip was exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend you avail yourself of their services for any trip to Japan. Our trip from Tokyo to Hiroshima was excellent. We got to meet 4 guides, Shige-san, Kazu-san, Nobu-san and Koto-san. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and sharing of their experiences. They were flexible in accommodating challenges we had during our trip. Kazu-san who shared 4 days with us was awesome and fantastic. He exceeds guest expectations. He taught us how to navigate the train, metro, subway system so we were able to travel to the Ginza district on our own. Kazu-san shared his knowledge of Japanese history, religions and culture. He took photos of us and even had his own camera to give us more memories of this trip. I'm half Japanese and this trip was a flood of memories of my childhood in Tokyo. It reminded me of the significance of family heirlooms that I had forgotten. Sights, sounds, smells and flavors triggered my brain. I can't wait to return soon for more experiences. Japan Deluxe Tours will be first on my list to plan our return visit. Thank you Japan Deluxe Tours for a fantastic vacation experience. Very well put together trip that you can visit every well known places of Japan. Great quality time with nice hotels and close walking distance to many different places. Tour guide was very friendly, passionate and knowledgeable. You will not regret if you choose to spend your time with Japan Deluxe Tour!

A thorough review of 4 tour agencies that we found online, first reviewing feedback on Google, and then working with the four companies to give their itineraries based on our limited first time to visit knowledge, then to review each itinerary with our party of 4 people, then to resend to each of the tour agencies with modifications of where we wanted to be and when... Japan Deluxe Tours was awarded our business. We dealt with Ken who seemed to have the right questions and solid answers. Pre-Trip he was very helpful. Mid trip (While in Japan) he was there when we needed him but that wasn't an issue, everything was clear and precise. His choice of places to stay (style/location), the choice in tour guides, the places to eat, the choice of transportation, all were done based on years of experience and knowledge. Post trip it took a few weeks to get over the Jetlag.... but looking back, I'm not sure if it could have gone much better. I believe each one of us would highly recommend using Japan Deluxe Tours to anyone we asked. The pricing was mid range of the quotes we received, not the most expensive and not the least... but in line (I think they were all within +/- $1500 from each other. It was still a chunk of change for 17 days but if it's your first time, or you like having an itinerary with knowledgeable guide... this would be my recommendation. You have to do the homework yourself... And I might suggest considering the start of your trip in a northern town like Aomori or Hokadate so that you can get a feel for less busy and more rural Japan and it's still a quick Bullet Train ride to the major cities. Don't get me wrong, Tokyo, Kyoto, Hakone, and Osaka were great, but it's also nice to go a little off script. Our trip did involve a jaunt to Beppu which was another excellent off script location to visit. Images were from Osaka, I do glitch art and photography. My son and I had an amazing time and would use Japan Deluxe again and will recommend to our friends and family. Our guide Mijo was awesome, she took care of us from beginning to end and was so knowledgeable on the areas that we covered. She went above and beyond with all our needs and questions.

My husband and I used Japan Deluxe Tours for our honeymoon and we had a wonderful experience. We had a private tour and it was so worth the money. We made friends with our guides and got to ask more questions and go to more places that we really wanted to see. The hotels were fantastic and transportation was easy with our guide. My husband and I can’t wait to come back to Japan and would definitely book with them again with our friends!

My husband and I had an excellent time with Japan Deluxe Tours. We only wish that we took a longer tour to spend even more time in Japan. We did the cultural/anime tour. Our tour guide Miho was excellent. She was like the mother of our tour group. She is very knowledgeable and goes out of her way to help us with questions. The only improvement I ask for is to inform customers of an overnight stay. We were informed very last minute to pack an overnight bag for a short overnight trip. This was very unexpected and was an inconvenience as I had to re- organize the luggages to pack a smaller bag. We also lost some items that had to be repurchased.
