Where do I even begin? I was 15 years old when I joined the Tae Ryong family, and I'm 25 now. I've been doing taekwondo for 10 years, and I wouldn't change a single thing about it. I joined because I wanted something to do, and I didn't have many friends who lived near me. I have to say that was the best decision I made. This studio is like a second home to me. I come here and I instantly feel happy and welcomed. Over the course of these years, I've had many different instructors who have taught me what I know today. They helped me improve and to be more confident in whatever I do. I used to be extremely shy and reserved, but now, I can hold my head high because I have something to be proud of. I've accomplished my goal of becoming a black belt, and my new goal is to work on my 4th degree. Master Moore and Master Lopez are great instructors, and they always want their students to train hard and be confident! As the student creed states: "To build true confidence through knowledge in the mind, honesty in the heart, and strength in the body. To keep friendships with one another and build a strong and happy community. Never fight to achieve selfish ends, only to develop might for right." GO TAE RYONG!

I'm Korean and taekwondo is my country's native sport. When I first moved to ventura county, I was on the look out for the best taekwondo school. I'm not easy to please, but Taeryong taekwondo school was the best school by far. They are one of the only schools that teach proper technique, poomsae(taeguek), sparring, philosophy and much more. Also, taeryong has been around the longest with 40 plus years in business and they have several school under the same name in different locations. All the masters know each other and they are supportive of one another and treat you like family. I originally had my 3 children signed up, but I loved it so much that I joined taekwondo myself and earned my black belt. My children and I are stronger, disciplined and happier, bc of taekwondo. We love master Moore and Lopez. They are a perfect team and we feel blessed to know them. If anyone is contemplating or looking for a better life, join Taeryong taekwondo. Truly a gem in Newbury Park!

My son has been with Tae Ryong for 3.5 years. The bulk of his time was during the pandemic and through those years, this studio utilized all their resources to stay open and safely keep classes going. It's truly a family of students, parents, and instructors. My son has not only learned the tenents and techniques of TKD but more importantly he"s learned respect, honor, discipline, perseverance, and character. And bonus to all this is that he has fun at every class. I highly recommend Tae Ryong TKD!

We have had two children go through the program all the way to Black Belt. Its excellent exercise, but so many life lessons along the way. Cant say enough great things about the Tae Ryong program!!!
