Tacoma Community House

I have been using this office for my DACA renewals for over five years, but my recent experience was deeply disappointing. Despite calling ahead to confirm my appointment and requirements, I was given incorrect information regarding the new payment policies. They no longer accept money orders, but I was never informed of this change during my screening. Furthermore, the processing timelines provided were inaccurate. I specifically asked if I needed to come in sooner and was told it was 'fine,' only to now be facing the loss of my employment because my renewal was not handled with the necessary urgency. I hope the office improves its communication and staff training to prevent others from facing these life-altering consequences.

If I could give a one star I would. BELIEVE THESE REVIEWS PLEASEEE I AM BEGGING YOU!! My mother is at the facility and she and myself have witness disgusting behavior. Roaches—bugs crawling around. Patients being left in their urine and feces. When I was on the phone with my mother I literally HEARD a lady yelling "I need helpppp, why is no one coming? Helpppppp" she was banging on something that sounded like metal… I’m guessing her bed? This place needs to be shut down now! My siblings and I will be contacting our lawyer, because this place needs to be dealt with. Like the other reviews says if you love your family DO NOT SEND THEM HERE!!! 2/13/2026

TCH is amazing organization. I've studied English since February, 2023 and math since 2024. I started level 3, and yesterday was last day there (((I finished level 6, and I'm ready to go to college))Each worker, each teacher is really help,kind. I love it!! Thanks everyone for your work. I appreciate it!

I'm really grateful that we have services such as TCH. Not only did they help with applying to citizenship, but they also helped me with finding a job. The class was very informative on what employers look for in a candidate, and how to write a well balanced résumé for the best chance at landing a job. The staff is very friendly, and super helpful. I had an amazing experience here at Tacoma Community House! I cannot express how grateful I am for these hardworking individuals. Special thank you to Linh Nguyen, who helped me throughout the past couple years. We started with my Green Card and then helped me achieve my Citizenship. Linh always went out of her way to communicate things with me, via email, phone calls, etc. She was always on top of it! I also appreciated that she even offered to apply for the low income waivers for the IRS paperwork, and even though I did not qualify every time, I appreciate that they provide that assistance. Awesome service, great people and at an affordable price. Thank you Tacoma Community House! I don’t know where I’d be without your help. Would a million times recommend their services!

The Staff and Volunteers at Tacoma Community House are very friendly and helpful at a wide range of services. I was introduced to TCH for their educational services, for both ESL and ABE (studying to get a GED) classes. There are students from all over the world, but they are all able to learn English. I discovered there are many community Service Agencies in the beautiful new building, such as a Job Placement department. What an awesome hidden gem that's been in Tacoma, on the same block, for well over a century.

I really appreciated the service from this office there was perfect collaboration on the process and the follow-up of the file. the lawyer has particular and above all professional experience. speed and communication I really liked working with this office. I would advise anyone who wants a positive result from their case to contact this office.
