Sonne

Sonne is a wonderful Korean preschool. It has been a terrific fit for us. We enrolled our first child 3+ years ago. We liked it a lot and had our second and third children start attending as well. My first child graduated after attending Sonne for 3 years and has moved up to Pre-K. Sonne emphasizes arts and crafts, appropriate behavior, and language acquisition (prioritizing Korean; they teach some English to 4 year olds). Director cooks Korean cuisine lunch and snacks mostly from scratch with organic ingredients. I heard Sonne graduates are generally told they were well prepared for pre-K (other than needing to learn English—but they know the alphabet well by graduation). My first child is adjusting decently to American Pre-K despite her limited English. Sonne teachers are experienced and caring. During a summer, my child travelled out of state for a month, and her teacher reached out to ask how she’s doing and asked for a photo if I didn’t mind. It highlighted how much she cared for her student even outside the classroom. While in diapers, my children did not come home with a new diaper rash. Later, the teachers also guided them through potty training, appropriate behavior, and sharing, with great patience. Teachers put a lot of effort into creating a clean and safe environment. Due to the relatively small class sizes (ranges between 6~12) sickness control has been quite effective. There has been no big outbreak of any kind as far as I know. They send photos on a weekly basis and are open to provide specific feedback whenever asked. Overall we are very happy with Sonne. They take students from 18 months. I believe they’re usually running a waitlist, so if you’re interested, reach out sooner than later!

My child has learned a lot at Sone. The teachers are always kind, and they help boost my child’s confidence and bring out their strengths. Thanks to them, my child has grown so much.

Just wow! Very great and professional service for my little siblings to attend! Our family has been in contact with Sonne for more than 5 years. I highly recommend it for Korean families with little kids. All the teachers are amazing and have a true heart to teach and watch over the little ones. I love coming here to pick up my little sibling. They also do an amazing job during COVID for social distancing and keeping the kids sanitize and safe! SONNE, THANK YOU!! 😊
