Charleston Taekwondo - Dorchester

Charleston Taekwondo has been such a positive influence in our son’s life. Master Tristan has been fantastic with the kids and he teaches with kindness and patience. Not only is master Tristan a wonderful leader but he has also assembled a wonderful team that works with him. You are greeted warmly every time and the kids are shown kindness, respect and patience. It’s a place where you are taught respect, confidence and hard work. Highly recommend!

My son has been taking lessons here for over a year now. He is currently a blue strip belt and he absolutely loves it! Tristan is amazing with the kids and his teaching style. Would definitely recommend.

We love Charleston Taekwondo! Our son has been going since the beginning of the year and the team has been teaching valuable lessons. The kids learn about kindness, respect and are eager to learn their steps to the next belt. Both of our kids enjoy the parents night out (so do we) and camps during the summer! Absolutely recommend this location and team!

We’ve had our 6-year-old son enrolled at Charleston Taekwondo for a few months now, and it’s been such a positive experience. From day one, the instructors have been patient, encouraging, and adept at working with young children. It’s about 45 minutes long, just the right balance of movement, drills, and fun. This my son’s first experience & he alway looks forward to attending class

Charleston Taekwondo is fantastic! My son attends the after-school program and also takes Taekwondo classes — he absolutely loves both. The instructors are caring, professional, and always motivate the kids to do their best. It’s a safe, positive, and inspiring environment. Highly recommend!

My son has been going to this location since it first opened in 2021. We did the afterschool program ending this year as he has now aged out of that program. We now attend family classes in the evenings. Since we have been part of the charleston taekwondo-Dorchester family we have participated in after school, parents night outs, Halloween parties, back to school parties, women's self defense, and other special classes or events they put on. I originally enrolled my son so that he would be more active on a day to day basis. What I got was the pride in his eyes when he earned a new belt or mastered a new move, more confidence in everything he does, and new friends made along the way. Now that my sons classes are in the evenings I have decided to join myself so that I can be there with him to make myself better too. After almost 3 years of being a part of this my only regret is not having my son join the sparring classes sooner. It definitely puts use behind the things you are learning as well as gives you a great workout. The instructors at Charleston Taekwondo-Dorchester are all great. They are patient and helpful make each class fun and enjoyable. I 100% recommend them

We have been coming since last year, my youngest participating kid has progressed from the Little Tigers. We are quite happy, from her not even wanting to come at the beginning, to her feeling proud of her achievements, it has been a great road. My oldest has his ups and downs, but I like the fact of giving him some routine and understanding that the wins take effort. Master Tristan and the whole team are respectful and caring of all the children, I don't feel like they are just two more customers. If anything, I'd ask them to be more strict even with the testing. We'll do our best to bring both kids until they're black belts.
