- Excellent pastries: Recommend their Basque Cheesecake which is not too sweet but very tasty with some char. I also tried the Coconut Pandan Cake, which is very well presented and not too sweet. It’s hard to describe the flavor, but it’s just like a typical vanilla, sponge cake that isn’t too sweet - Pastries are reasonable price for quality, about 8-10 dollars per larger pastry and 3-5 dollars for smaller pastries - Really kind and hard working staff; I don’t love how the main pastries are in a different location that you order, as it makes it hard to choose, but I will not complain.

Cozy bakery serving up so many Asian desserts, drinks, and snacks! Food: - Foi Thong Coconut Cake ($7.95) Layers of pandan chiffon cake layered with coconut cream (with real coconut slices) and topped with foi thong. Awesome balance of sweetness and textures. - Ube Basque Cheesecake ($8.95) Creamy, nostalgic cheesecake brimming with ube flavor! Loved this - Taro Puff I LOVE all things taro, and this pastry delivered. Crispy exterior encasing a sweet, smooth taro paste. Service: - The workers are so welcoming and friendly. Makes each visit feel like a warm hug. Interior: - Cozy, warm, and on the smaller side. Highly recommend this place!

I ordered a custom pig-themed cake for my daughter, who absolutely loves pigs, and Maprang bakery did an amazing job! The design was adorable—perfectly crafted with so much attention to detail. My daughter was thrilled the moment she saw it. Even better, the cake wasn’t just cute—it was delicious. Moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Everyone at the celebration loved it. Thank you to the bakery for making our day extra special. Highly recommend for both creativity and great taste! 🎂🐷💖

What a wonderful addition to Union square!! There are so many drink and quick bite options. The cakes look incredible and the one I ordered, Opera, was insanely good. The lattes & everything were made perfectly. I also need to come back and try a breakfast sandwich. Staff was delightful and ambience was lovely. Definitely recommend!

Maprang is a small cafe and bakery serving up multiple Asian pastries, drinks, and desserts in a small area. The atmosphere is very bright and its nice to browse around in. The staff were friendly, we got our pastries and drinks in under 5 minutes, and we were able to go in and out quite quickly. We got a thai tea cake, biscoff cake, and a mango matcha. The Mango matcha was a bit light on the matcha flavor, and very sweet, a bit too sweet for our liking. The Thai Tea cake wasn't as good either, though it did have a good thai tea flavor. In contrast, the Biscoff Cake was very good, not too sweet and paired well together with the biscoff added on top.

What a cute little cafe! The cakes are very nicely decorated. We got the Thai tea cake, which is apparently a very popular flavor. The sponge was soft and the cream was on the stabler side (probably needed for the structural integrity). The flavor was Thai tea all the way through. I would like to try a different flavor next time! $7.95 is not unreasonable for these cakes. They have many drink options, and I went with the strawberry matcha latte. It was quite good. Overall, super cute place with some flavors you can't get elsewhere. I would come back to try more!

It's the best cheesecake I've ever had! I got the ube cheesecake and the Thai tea. Absolutely delicious incredible texture and flavor! Only reason it doesn't get a 5 out of 5 stars on atmosphere cuz there just was no room to even walk around with how many people there were sitting in there. other than that absolutely fantastic I will be back for the cheesecake 100%
