I went to get a trim last Wednesday in the evening and am writing to thank Emil. I come about once a year here and the price went up by $5 this time for my wash, trim, blowdry package and is now $25... I always ask for very gentle touch as I have a sensitive scalp and dislike the usual pressure/firm grip with which stylists handle my hair and head. Throughout the service, Emil was very careful, and spoke up/stood up for me when well-meaning instructors would come over and grab my hair (with what I imagine is normal pressure for everyone else but inconveniently too rough for me). They were hoping to show him how to do it more firmly, which I guess is what the professionas usually do to get a straighter cut, so he graciously endured some pre-judgement and advice from them before we could explain that he was just honoring my wishes/sensitivity. He did an excellent job with the shampoo part, I actually trusted the pressure enough to relax and enjoy it, and the water temp was perfect. Emil took the advice of one of the lead instructors (a very passionate, petite lady who suggested we use moisturizing shampoo, thank you!! And sorry I forget her name.) Emil was great with the trim and treated me to a hairdry with his Dyson blow dryer. I felt so spoiled! (Another instructor, a man, came over during the blowdry to make sure I understood that without pulling the hair out, it wouldnt dry fully and thus could get frizzy when I got outside. Totally appreciate the warning). I honestly loved the haircut and straight blow dry so much, thankfully it held up very nicely and I didn't even feel I had to wash it till tonight (7 days later!) Thanks Emil.

This was the worst haircut I have ever received. My hair was long and healthy prior to visiting the Paul Mitchell salon. What took six months to a year to grow was cut off in a single appointment. I requested layered styling; however, the result was extremely choppy with no blending. One side was noticeably longer than the other. I contacted the school to request a refund and was informed that this was not possible. I then visited another salon nearby, where I was charged only $50 to correct the damage. The stylists there were surprised by the condition of my hair following the previous service. Please DO NOT go to this salon if you love your hair. I am very dissatisfied with my experience and would not recommend this salon. 0 stars.

I had my hair done on September 30 at Paul Mitchell The School Sherman Oaks and I couldn’t be happier! A student gave me a full head of highlights and a blowout—she was so precise, meticulous, and talented. The teacher/ manager, and entire team were incredibly sweet, and I loved the positive vibes. I feel rejuvenated, confident, and sexy! I highly recommend this school for anyone considering hair services. Thank you to the student and the whole team—I can’t wait for my next visit!

The most pleasant experience I had in the longest time it was done in such a professional Manner with the supervision of the teachers, who was very professional. I am definitely coming back as soon as the next month excellent choice!!!!

From start to finish I had a very professional and warm experience. The atmosphere was fun. My stylist was amazing and ny hair color turned out perfect.

I got my hair cut by Linda; she was awesome! Very professional service and made sure, before cutting anything, that we were both on the same page regarding what it was exactly that I wanted. She needed a couple pointers here and there from her instructor, which is absolutely to be expected when getting a service at a school, but, honestly, I actually took it as a good thing because I could see that she really paid attention to her instructor and cared to understand and learn to improve her services and client care. Would recommend 10/10 and I absolutely will be returning for my next haircut.

Brandon cut my hair. He is a barber and gave me a great cut. I wanted a square back short sides and a little left on top. I also told him I like my hair a little messy so he gave me some textured to the top which I love. Sweet guy too his number on his card is 4806 if your looking for a good hair cut.
