Horrible company. Never answers the phone. No return call backs when trying to resolve payroll and HR issues. Center director couldn’t be bothered to do her job. Legally doesn’t follow employee federal laws. Don’t work here or for their centers.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff, the Director and Assistant Director and the center in Yorktown Heights, however, sadly, we were informed late yesterday evening the center will be closing in November. My child has been there since he was 6 months old and is now 5. To say we are devastated is an understatement. Cadence is giving the families and staff little time to figure out their next steps and the regional director, Tracy, has minimal suggestions. The only thing we could get a definitive answer on was that while we would get our deposits back; the annual registration fee was not being refunded despite the center staying open for only 3 months of the year. They are placing the blame on COVID affecting enrollment which they were obviously aware of prior to starting this school year. The lack of empathy Cadence and their regional leadership is showing the staff and families of this center is disgusting. Apparently this is not uncommon for this corporation so I would be wary sending my child to any of their centers!

Our child has been enrolled at Abby's in Florence since the age of 1. Cadence recently took over and our child is currently in the 4 year old preschool room. We are so happy they were able to retain their staff and current director. Mandy is amazing, quick to respond, organized, and we have been very pleased with the level of care and education our child has received. They all work extremely hard, create a positive environment for our child, keep her safe, and provide so many fun and enriching activities. We have no doubt that she will be ready for Kindergarten next year and we love Ms. Christine (and so many others).

My daughter has attended a cadence school for over 5 years. She loved it and I loved that I had peace of mind, in leaving my child in their care. As a single mom, it’s rough trusting other people with my daughter. A little over a year ago, I started to communicate some issues with the front office. There was a significant lack of communication, from their end. A spot had opened for my daughter, at her own grade school for before and after school care, so i moved her to that, with the intention of utilizing PCA for her school breaks. When she returned during the spring and the summer, the issues were still very prominent. The amount of times, myself, my daughter, and my mom, felt like their cold attitudes, lack of correspondence, and mistakes were intentional was highly discouraging. I feel that the director lacks empathy and effective communication skills. In my conversations with her, i feel that she was very dismissive and defensive. I feel that when a child comes home (unknowing of the many many issues that were discussed with the director) and communicates that she felt like she was being treated unfairly on purpose by her teachers, that is a problem. I pulled her from the school, as she was going back to her grade school at the start of the school year and she will not be returning; however, that last week of her attendance, my account was over charged and I still have not been refunded the entire amount (nearly 9 weeks later). Yet again, a mistake I feel like is intentional, based on our history. I reached out a number of times and have had no response. I left a google review for the specific location and had no response. I truly feel sad that some years ago, I would have recommended this school to everyone I know. Now, having heard the things my daughter told me, and experiencing all that I have, I wouldn't dream of recommending the company to anyone.

Our local childcare was bought out by this national chain. They close for Martin Luther King day, Presidents day, June teenth day and many more, this is ridiculous !!!! I now have to take and additional 2 weeks of time off work because they are closed. The staff at my location stayed the same and they are great so this is not towards then. This is directed at the corporate office!!!!

Cadence Education has taken over Rogy's Preschool and is implementing new rules. When my child began attending this facility, the late fee was $5 a week. When the statement is issued on Monday, if the payment isn't in by Tuesday, on Wednesday you incur the late fee. This is typical practice and reasonable. However, Cadence Education decided to increase their late fee from $5 a week to $25 a week. This means every month you could possibly be incurring a late fee of $100 based on the day of the week you make your payment. This was a huge concern of mine, although I understand why they needed to increase and why a late fee is implemented, I didn't understand why the drastic jump or where the money would be going or if it would benefit my child. I contacted the director who forwarded me to the regional director, Pam Eppel. She ignored my emails until I continued to contact her and demanded a response. Her response was sorry, it isn't changing. I requested her supervisor, Kristen Hopton, who also had no answer as to why it increased or where this money would go. There is no plan to increase salaries or improve the children's education in any way. While on the phone with Kristen Hopton, I requested her supervisor's information which she refused to give me. After minutes of me asking what her role was and what her supervisor's role was, I got the answer that he was the CEO. At this point I demanded his information and she stated she didn't have his number. After ending the call with Kristen Hopton, I researched the CEO and contacted him via phone and had to leave a voicemail. I then email Kristen Hopton again to insist she forward David Goldberg, the CEO, my information, email threads, and concerns. David Goldberg contacted me the same day to offer no resolution, no answer to where this obscene amount of money is going, and basically said we aren't a financial institution so we are allowed to charge whatever late fee we would like. This is completely unethical and a huge concern.

I just got hung up on by Krishna Dry, she’s the regional vp of ops—I guess she didn’t like that I inquired about receiving assistance. The notifications that come out 30 days prior to receiving said increases and so I reached out and didn’t hear from the regional director until after the increase took place. Then when I asked to speak to Krishna it took her a month to reach out to me and when she did, she had nothing to offer any assistance and then hung up on me.
