Savannah Technical College

I had the pleasure of having Dan, Tripp and James teach me through my CDL A course and I will say it's the best experience I've ever had in a learning setting acquiring a new skill. They were very attentive and detailed in any questions or concerns myself or any class mates had during the course. They taught us everything we needed to be successful in our future careers on the road. Larry was a wonderful test taker he was very informative on areas I was lacking in and parts I may have missed. Leaving the school is giving a bitter sweet feeling because I will say I enjoyed waking up every morning to meet up with the teachers and classmates to push toward our success and the daily banter of everyone.

My experience as an advanced aged learner was awesome. I will never be able to thank my advisor, Ms. Joyce Johnson enough, she was most helpful during my two years, up to and including the graduation process. My department chair in Criminal Justice, Dr. Anthony Nixon, PhD, was truly instrumental in the completion of my degree. These two people were the reason that I was able to hang in there and get the paper(degree/diploma). My only frustration was, I could only register on the first day of class; age 60 and above students are eligible to have their tuition covered by the state, but you are responsible for the cost of your fees and your books. You run the risk of not receiving your first choice of classes and might have to wait until the next semester for a given class. However, I was able to complete my two year program one semester early.

Starting an electrical course with Savannah Tech in January semester, from the UK. I am rather shocked (in an amazing way) how smoothly the process went. I received my I-20 much quicker than I ever anticipated. I want to give a massive thank you to the staff at Savannah Technical College - in particular Dr. Tristam, who has been a great help throughout this entire process. I sincerely look forward to my studies in the upcoming months! Thanks again. Adam

Overall the staff has an attitude problem when you ask questions or ask for updates (after waiting months). Little to no real help enrolling. Task that should take 1-2 days took 4-6 weeks. My advice is find a better school that is mentally and physically invested in you + your future.

Feel like a scam!! I submitted my application for Fall semester 2025 in April. Paid the fee and all that. Ended up with nothing! Didn’t hear anything from them at all even though I emailed and called almost every day asking for assistance with the student portal where I can’t upload any required documents.Oh and I even emailed them those documents to the emails listed on their website.. Still NOTHING! This school is a joke!

Just went to visit Savannah Tech with my son very disappointed on the way we were treated. The administrative lady pronounced the young man's name wrong and when I corrected her, she didn't even acknowledge that she pronounced it wrong. We're on by being Very unprofessional and very unhelpful definitely would not recommend her still gonna give the school a try but definitely still disappointed.

This school is a joke. You pay all this money just to end up teaching yourself everything because the instructors won’t or can’t. The staff in the various offices (business, financial aid, etc) will test your patience like nothing else. They are rude, unprofessional, and incompetent. The few competent staff members are too lazy to do their job. It takes bombarding them with calls to get somebody to answer the phone. It takes an army of emails to receive one response. This school has completely messed up my credits from prior colleges, my tuition, my financial aid and treated me like I was to blame. Do not waste your time, money, or effort at Savannah Tech. Invest in literally any other school.
