Yum's Karate

Master Ki Tae Yum created a unique place thanks to his skills, experience, wisdom and moral character. He is truly involved in the development of each of his students. He delivers a true traditional education of martial arts. My sons have been his students for five years and I am very proud of their achievements. I highly recommend Yum's Karate to anyone interested in martial arts.

I am 54 years old and I am a physician. I joined Yum's Karate two years ago as I was invited to practice with my sons for a short trial and I have stayed. I realized how beneficial it was for my general health and stress management. I feel much stronger and healthier since then. Every time after the practice I feel mentally rested and full of energy. The fact that I can do it with my sons makes it a wonderful experience. This is all possible thanks to Master Ki Tae Yum. He is an incredible man. He is a true, authentic Korean Martial Artist who devoted his entire life to Hwa Rang Do. We feel lucky to have such an opportunity and we truly appreciate it.

My son chose Hwa Rang Do when he was four years old. His mother and I told him that if he was still interested in it when he was five we would let him join. On his Fifth birthday he told us he wanted to sign up. He is now almost ten and has been diligently working towards his second degree black belt. Master Yum and Michael do much more than teach a martial art. They teach children, character and commitment. They teach children the values of Family, Country and Teachers. My son lives these values not only because they are important to my wife and I but they are the reinforced in each and every class. We have made great friends through Hwa Rang Do and hope that Nico stays with it forever.

Not your typical run of the mill karate place. It's a brilliant mixture of self defense, mind and body discipline, art and culture. My children have been going for years and I have nothing but the highest compliments for this institution. The owner and employee's have been the same ever since and the same students as well. Which shows that they're helping and changing lives. I got my son involved because he was having trouble focusing in school. this began improving within weeks and he hasn't stopped improving since. I highly recommend "Yum's Karate" Hwa Rang Do to everyone that I can.

Yum’s Hwarangdo is more than just your basic martial arts training center. At Yum’s karate you are welcomed into an atmosphere where you feel like family. It is a place where virtues, inner values, and discipline are paramount. For me personally, it was a perfect environment of camaraderie, discipline, and growth. I am grateful that I have had the opportunity to train under and with an incredible group of people who understand that martial arts is first and foremost about honor, respect, and good personal character.

I am so very fortunate to be a part of Yum's Hwa Rang Do. Perhaps the most important reason is related to my son Matthew. Since becoming a part of the program he has not only earned his black belt but in the process has become a very respectful and disciplined child. I thank Grand Master Ki Tae Yum for creating a program that not only teaches Hwa Rang Do techniques but also teaches students about respect, discipline, honesty and why working hard to be your best is important. The second reason is because of what learning Hwa Rang Do has meant to me. I have been going to class since October of 2011 and I feel better today than I have in over, well lets just say many many many years. I am more flexible, agile and more confident about a wide variety of things, not the least of which is self defense. Thank you Master for welcoming us into the family. I look forward to continuing my training and becoming a better person.

Yum's Karate is a great place for kids and adults. You're not just learning a martial art but positive values that transcend your daily life. Master Yum is a wonderful person and I'm honored that he is a part of my family's lives.
