SHINKO88 ASIAN CAFE & BOBA

I'm always on the lookout for Japanese food 💜 my daughter and I have been wanting to try this place for a while, and we're NOT disappointed. Quiet, quaint, and astheticly pleasing atmosphere. Parking was simple, easy, and free. Food and drinks were ready in 10 minutes or less. We had a strawberry matcha bubble tea, peach rose bubble tea, avocado onigiri, chicken katsu w rice, and pork pan fried gyoza. Everything was delicious, and they had many more items on their menu that we will be SURE to go back and try 😋 💜 thank you Shinko88!

So, so, so good. This is one of the only places around that had steamed buns/bao buns, which is one of my favorite foods ever. They are delicious, but too expensive ($3.25 each, and pretty small.) The entrees are fantastic, though. So much flavor, and I was especially a fan of the textures & presentation. We picked it up and took it home, but the food wasn’t compromised in any way - my chicken katsu stayed super crunchy. It was a mistake to find this place because now we’re going to keep coming back. I also have some gripes with the parking situation (more of a fault to the city than the restaurant,) and I wish it was a larger establishment that could focus on a dine-in experience, because that would be a huge winner. But yeah, if you like Asian, you’ve gotta try here.

For the most part, food was good. My son thought his pork katsu was okay and wasn't a fan but we would still come as there were plenty that were nice and delicious. The food was reasonably priced too.

I think this will be the new place I frequent. I ordered the chicken katsu ramen and was surprised by how delicious it was. The broth was flavorful, the chicken and toppings were generous. The hibiscus bubble tea was so refreshing & amazing. Service was warm and welcoming. Ambiance is nice & clean. Will definitely come back to try more things.

Best place for boba tea in san marcos. I also really enjoyed the meal in here. Tall guy working here was also humble towards me he won a doll in game machine and gave me by putting his own money.

THE BEST boba I have ever had. The tall Asian guy had an excellent service. The food was worth every penny. This is a must visit place if y’all wanna try the best boba.
