San Marcos Public Library

Loved the place! This library is well maintained with all sort of book! The place is specious, quiet and very much inviting! It’s a great place to bring your kids, they have all sorts of book. They also have activity room for toddlers which can be booked through online. They also have pleasant outdoor sitting areas for you to enjoy weather while reading a book.

We love going to the children's story time and puppet shows! The children's library is a good size and separate from the rest of the library. It has a large DVD collection and great book selection that include Wonderbooks. It has access to a gated outdoor area which the children use as a play space. There is a toy area that has giant blocks. There is also a designated playroom that families can reserve for free to bring their children to play in. All the children's librarians are so sweet, kind, and joyful! This is one of our favorite places in San Marcos.

lovely place to spend some time! very friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, gorgeous design, and an expansive catalog. my husband and i appreciate the things the librarians do to make visits fun and reading approachable (staff picks selection and blind dates with books, for example). it can be hard to find fiction works with the current organizational system, but this may be improved in the near future; the library has a survey going to help determine how fiction is sorted and shelved. overall, it's a great place to be!

A very good collection of books and resources. They also have a magazine corner with a great collection of all the new magazines. They also have a separate space for Teenage books and Children books and separate places for them to sit and read. Moreover, the membership for the Library will get you free subscription to the New York Times. Overall, the place is peaceful and you'd love it if you are a quiet reader and love to spend your time reading in a quiet and peaceful space.

Today was my first time going to this Library . The vibe was great and the staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable. I was able to receive my card and check out a book. 😊👏🏾👏🏾

Overall, it’s a great place, everything is brand new. The facilities are modern, the computers are updated, and the space is huge. There are plenty of rooms: study rooms, silent reading rooms, kids’ rooms, and even a business center. Everything you could need. The only downside is if you’re planning to do heavy computer work, the internet might not be fast enough. I was only getting between 8 to 30 Mbps, which was a bit of an issue for the programs I was running. I ended up having to hotspot from my phone.

Very cozy, clean library. A lot of space to work at your laptop with a table with a socket, but one very serious drawback is the extremely slow wifi, it almost does not work.
