I went there for 2 trades. I was only there for 6 to 9 months but it cause I was busy studying to get out there due to drama. Second time I was there I was pick on by 2 girls I was roommate with as I was heavy set girl. Lucky my other room stuck up for me and helped us get room change. The other girls regretted picking on me as they got in trouble every other weekend due there rooms not being up to inspection. Guess they should learn not pick on the one that was always making sure room was cleaned. Lucky I got my education i needed and got out there in 9months.
Had great social experiences but the school itself is like a prison. They don’t treat you like students they treat you like inmates and the staff was some what professional but they also had power trips. Also nobody takes the education you received here serious wherever you apply.
Do not go here there were riots and drama that will follow you even out of gjc ! I repeat do not go here unless you want to be harassed by staff and by students with anger issues and horrid personal life issues. You could end up staying in the same dorm as biologically male students that are placed in female dorms. You will encounter unprofessional staff and people with bad hygiene. Some people were placed on hygeine contracts meaning they had to be told to shower. You will shower in a large bathroom with other people again there is a lot of similarities to prison here. Also people will start things about you.the drama is terrible stay away! There are riots and messy people. If you want to survive this place stay away from people. Do not give any contract information out to any students they will ask you for money and be fake and start drama. Don’t smoke with the people there that’s how you communicable diseases. Do not have any kind of relationships with any of your peers. There’s too many options and there’s so many new students that come in weekly/monthly that there will be so many chances to get cheated on. Those relationships aren’t real and don’t even get me started on the intimidation you will face from staff. They will bully you and ask for your personal belongings. Think as if you are in prison. Don’t go near the gangs and stay out of people’s way. There are people there from all different states and some of them come from very hard lives and will make their problems yours. Get your education elsewhere…. FREE does not mean Free. You cannot have a car on campus and you’ll get paid 40$ bi-weekly. Want to go back to go back to HighSchool? Have fun cause that’s the age of majority of the people there! People are loud and you will be expected to allow them to go through your things it’s a corrosion of privacy and the staff don’t care. There’s not enough security on campus to protect you if you get caught up in the cross fire of the fights that happen. Don’t catch a charge fighting the people who want to start stuff. You will go through metal detectors when arriving back on campus to and from. You will have a curfew of 9:00 on will days and 10:00 on weekends if i remember correctly. There are monthly meetings of how you are expected to act. If you don’t want to waste your time get any job and work your way through school. Do not come here and waste a year of your life or more.
God give favor to all the young adults trying to be better and make better lives for themselves and the staff to help these young adults.. you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you
This place was a joke!!! I knew that as a kid when I went, but as an adult and reading the cost is insane spending
