First, and most importantly, I had excellent professors at Casa Hispana. They were very experienced and really able to engage the class and make it an enjoyable learning experience. The classes were small and well organized and were a balanced combination of grammar and conversation. I felt we all received a lot of individual attention and opportunity to speak/practice. I highly recommend Casa Hispana to anyone wanting to learn Spanish in a very friendly, professional situation.

I had a really great experience with Casa Hispana. I purchased a 6-week package of 2x/week group classes, which was affordable compared to other options in the city. The building is easy to get to with MUNI and all of the instructors are very friendly and accomodating. Sonia did my placement interview and taught one of my classes, and has always responded to all of my questions promptly and kindly. I would highly recommend this language school to people looking to improve their Spanish skills!

I don't know how much more I can add to the rave reviews of this wonderful school -- I agree with every favorable thing that others have written. I started in a beginning class at Casa Hispana, then after four years I had to stop for several years due to my work schedule. But now I'm back in the fold and very happy about it. I've had teachers from a variety of countries, each of whom brought something unique and wonderful to the classroom. Casa Hispana uses the immersion method (only Spanish is spoken in classes) and I highly recommend it. Come and try it out!

I have been learning Spanish for a few years with Casa Hispana - taking both group and private lessons. I am very happy with CH and have had great experiences learning this beautiful language. My main teacher is Nacho, but I have had classes with several other professors when Nacho is not available, and my experiences have all been excellent. I am happy with the reliability, spirit and teaching ability of everyone here. I can easily give CH the highest rating, and have recommended it to many friends. Que bueno!

Incredibly warm and approachable atmosphere. The teachers are great, I spent a few months taking classes two nights a week and am continually impressed by how much I retained. I HIGHLY recommended Casa Hispana if you want to learn good conversational Spanish. There is no place I'd rather send people than here!

I have been studying Spanish at Casa Hispana for well over three years. I have enjoyed the experience immensely and I have learned Spanish. I consider this an ongoing project for me because I never stop learning more while at this school. I have studied several other languages and, in my opinion, I think the teaching method employed by Sonia Fava at Casa Hispana is the best I have experienced. I wholeheartedly recommend Casa Hispana for anyone who truly wants to learn to speak Spanish and have fun doing it.

Highly recommend. This feels a bit strange posting a review in English rather than Spanish, but if you are reading this, you probably want to learn Spanish. This school works! I learned some Spanish in high school many years ago, but as many know, continuing to learn anything other than English in the US school system is futile. Casa Hispana filled this gap. My later-in-life motivation began after purchasing a popular computer package, which was a great foundation builder, but didn't provide the personal interaction inherent in Casa Hispana. The lessons are structured around learning proper grammar, such as proper tenses of verbs, while at the same time learning additional vocabulary and practicing verbal skills with others. As with any school or education, you get out of it what you put into it. I think I continue to take classes at Casa Hispana because the instructors are great, classes are small, and the other students are well-engaged. If you want to increase your learning curve, you need to go to class. Oh, and just like college, you pay in advance here, so if you skip a class you haven't prearranged, it will hurt your pocketbook, as well as your learning. Again, if you're serious about learning, go to class.
