Kumon Math and Reading Center of Reno - South

Love this place! Would recommend for everyone! Staff is AMAZING & patient! My 2 boys have learned so much from being there. They struggled when they first started the program, pandemic was tough, but Kumon helped keep them on track & actually be ahead! Both boys are now going into HS & MS. My HS student graduated with Science excellence & made the A/B honor roll and will continue his education & athletics at Bishop Gorman HS. My MS student has straight A's & absolutely loves his all his classes & is on top of his assignments. If you know my boys they are student athletes and staying on top of education is key! THANK YOU Ms. Sonal & Kumon staff for everything!!!

My son has been attending it since he was ~3 years old. It has became our morning ritual to do Kumon before leaving for school. Every other day he says "I love KUMON." He is now 4 and just read his first book on his own. I am super impressed with the result. Also, Sonal has been amazing and very accommodating to his needs (we commute 1 hour to this center every time).

At last, we have a Kumon in South Reno! The staff is amazing and they take meticulous care in teaching Kids. Kumon is a great after school program where the kids can learn Math and English in a fun way. Before Kumon, there were many a times we did not know how to teach our son. Kumon brings education in a fun and disciplined way to the S Reno Kids. I highly recommend this program!

We decided to try Kumon at Steamboat after my elder daughter started struggling with Math in the 4th grade. We then enrolled our younger daughter as well. The Kumon approach worked very well for both our kids as their Math MAP scores shot up big time after they started with Kumon. Thank you Sonal for running the center super professionally and being very responsive whenever we reached out !

Following a parent teacher conference, we realized that our child was falling below the bar on his standardized test scores as well as his general in class grades. Despite trying to help him more at home with his curriculum, we struggled to see much of a difference. He felt frustrated and very discouraged. I sensed he was giving up on himself ever being a good student. However, we weren’t giving up on him as his parents. Although, we just didn’t know what to do. Kumon came highly recommended by a couple of our fellow work colleagues in the community. Unsure it could make a difference since we had already tried all different types of tricks and approaches at home, we were hesitant but thought it was at least worth a try. Shortly after enrollment, our son’s academic growth improved almost immediately. In short order Sinol and the tutors she employs had our son out of the ‘below average’ range and now scoring within the parameters expected by the school district. The environment there at the center was so positive and one that truly built a new level of self-esteem and confidence within him. By his choice much to our surprise, he stayed enrolled for the rest of the school year. And with that continuance he later started scoring in the ‘above average’ range and has been doing great ever since. The benefits to our child were obvious, but as a parent the benefits were equally as great. There was a stress lifted from us that our child was now hitting the marks academically and staying on pace with his peers. The only thing we regretted was not starting sooner! As an aside, down the road we had a very similar experience with our youngest child. Like before, we first tried at home but without much success. We turned to Sinol at Kumon again and it worked AGAIN, it was like MAGIC! Given the results we saw in now two of children (each with different learning habits), the warm welcome received, and the unwavering positive-loving environment there I give Kumon South the highest possible recommendation.  -Amanda

Sonal (owner) and her team are approachable, receptive, and dedicated. Three years at this Kumon has helped our daughter develop study skills/discipline!! We have moved to the other side of town and continue to come to this location because of how wonderful Sonal and her team are. Thank you.
