Evolution Academy of Martial Arts

We’ve had a fantastic experience at Evolution Academy of Martial Arts! The instructors are incredibly responsive and truly engaged with each child. They strike the perfect balance between discipline and fun, making each class something our child looks forward to. The way the classes are structured keeps the kids focused and active the entire time — no time wasted, and no chance for boredom to set in. You can really tell they care about the kids’ development, both physically and mentally. Highly recommend this studio for any parent looking to build their child’s confidence, focus, and fitness in a positive environment!

My daughter and I both started training at Evolution Academy of Martial Arts in August 2023 and both of us couldn't have had better experiences. My daughter is 4 and loves going to class. Master Brent, Sensei Patrick, Sensei Miguel and Sensei Anthony are all extremely knowledgeable. They know how to make each lesson digestible for the 4 year to 6 year old group while also still making sure each kid has fun. I am always amazed by their patience and my daughter's focus and listening skills have noticeably improved since she started training. It is very obvious that all instructors really care about their craft and each kid they are teaching. My own training has also been equally rewarding. Sensei Patrick is an excellent teacher and also makes every class super fun. I have learned so much since I started and going to the adult classes has become one of the main highlights of my week. One of the coolest things about class is that Sensei Patrick is constantly working on his craft and regularly attends seminars so he can become a better teacher and bring new techniques to his students. He could just as easily just rely on all the knowledge he already has but very clearly loves what he does and that excitement and drive to improve is very contagious, which makes thing way easier and more fun as a student. He has also created a community within the dojo where everyone is constantly rooting for each other while also pushing each other to improve. I would highly recommend Evolution Academy of Martial Arts. And if anyone is thinking about signing their kid up, come check out the adult classes, too. My daughter and I have had so much fun practicing together at home and doing so has created a really wonderful connection point between the two of us. Also, the classes are a great workout.

Our 5 year old son has been attending classes 3x a week for about a month now. He really enjoys the group classes. I’m impressed with the way the 2 sensei’s talk and communicate with the kids. The kids are having fun while learning discipline and self defense. My son is looking forward to the time he will get to start striking. Highly recommended, my boy enjoys immensely.

My son has been studying with Sensei Archie for a few years now. What he receives from him is much more than learning Karate. There is a sense of community in the dojo that has made my son feel respected, cared for and appreciated for his character. He also has so much fun there and has been getting stronger and much more confident. I recommend warmly!

Our boys- ages 6 & 7 have been coming here twice a week for a few months and are now hooked! The firm structure that the sanseis lead with has been wonderful. Our boys’ manners have gotten better at home since we started karate. They practice their moves at home and are always extra happy in the mornings that they know they get to go to karate later that evening. We couldn’t be happier with our experience!

Evolution Academy of Martial Arts isn't just a place to learn self-defense – it's a transformative experience. I've been training here for the past 3 years, and it's honestly changed my life for the better. The adult classes are filled with an incredible sense of camaraderie. We push each other to improve, celebrate each other's successes, and have a blast doing it. The real magic lies in the instruction from Senseis Miguel and Patrick. Their years of experience are evident in their clear guidance and dedication to both the dojo and the art itself. They manage to be incredibly patient while still pushing us to reach our full potential. Prior to Evolution Academy, I trained in Kung Fu for several years. While I appreciate the focus on traditional forms, I found myself craving something more practical. Evolution Academy perfectly bridges that gap! Their instruction mixes things up brilliantly. We learn practical self-defense applications, but we also delve into traditional forms, solidifying technique and giving context to the movements.

We took our 5 year old son to Evolution and we are so glad we did. They are great teachers and very patient with the little guys. He loves it! The progress he’s shown in a short amount of time has been very impressive, and it’s really teaching him a great work ethic and attention to detail. Ask for Patrick as a Sensei. He’s terrific!
