All the Shifus and assistants are amazing with the kids! My son looks forward to class and we enjoy watching all the kids learning and having fun while doing so. Highly recommend them!

This is a legit and fun Kung-fu school. My 5 year old always ends class with big smile on her fave and gets sweaty. I would recommend for both casual and serious learners.

I recently enrolled my child in this Kung-Fu class and I am thoroughly impressed. The environment is welcoming and conducive to learning. Long Shifu, the instructor, is exceptional - not only is he skilled and knowledgeable, but he also has a genuine knack for teaching children. He is patient, encouraging, and truly knows how to connect with his students, making each class enjoyable and educational. My child looks forward to every session and has shown significant improvement not just in Kung-Fu skills, but also in confidence and discipline. Been with Kung Fu Dragon (KFD) for 3 years and very happy. My son loves it! The Sifus (Instructors) are very knowledgeable in Kung Fu and great with kids. You can tell they are very dedicated to their students and making sure the students understand the concepts and movements before they move on to the next level. What I really like is the environment - the Sifus create a fun, positive, and motivated environment, and hold the students accountable for their actions. "Respect your teacher, respect your parents, always do your best, never say can’t". The school is very flexible when it comes to schedule so for example if you sign up for 2x a week, you can come to any two classes that week - you’re not locked into a specific day and time. Belt tests are usually the last weekend of the month and I like how they hold the students accountable. For example, students are required to get both their teacher’s signature and parent’s signature and rating on behavior. The rating will be considered as a portion of their score in determining whether the student earns the next belt. And this school teaches weapons! In 3 years my son has learned bo staff, broadsword, double-daggers, and competed in multiple tournaments using hand-form and weapons. My son also tried out and made the Demo Team, and so he’s been fortunate enough to also perform in several places and cultural events around the Bay Area. Last year, we even joined KFD’s trip to China (Zhengzhou) and visit the Shaolin Temple and my son got to train with some of the Shaolin Warriors. We even got to visit Kung Fu schools and how they train. My daughter also joined KFD’s newly added tumbling/flip class. It’s every Sunday at their San Ramon location. She really enjoys it and it’s helping her flips with her dance classes. The Sifus are very patient and attentive to each student’s capabilities. In summary, we’re very happy with KFD and all the Sifus. On top of learning Kung Fu, my son has also learned about responsibility (not letting your Demo Team teammates down) and leadership (he’s helping to teach the Little Dragons classes).
