Some great people, keep in mind that people in this area of VA WILL reflect your attitude, with my positive out look and acceptance of things not always going my way I have had a Great week at ODU,

UPDATE***My son is still an engineering student at this university. (Jr yr) He LOVES it here, has enjoyed MOST of the professors, made some good friends, and is still excited, happy & motivated about life and his educational experience at ODU. Great Tour by Mikayla (Sp?) and Jordan. Very informative tour loaded with personality. Beautiful campus. New Football stadium!! New Dorms. New Chemistry Building. More new building projects in the works. It's great to see the university keep it up to date. Putting money back into the university is AWESOME!!

They deactivate student email accounts after graduation. It may seem like a small detail, but it caused a lot of inconvenience. I had to update my email on many accounts, and I ended up losing access to a few (including my airline points account) because I forgot to change the email in time. I’ve attended other universities where student emails remain active, so this was surprising and frustrating.

I am entering my second year here after transferring from community college and have enjoyed my experience so far. All the professors I have had so far have been good and care about their students and what they are teaching. There are places on campus where you can get help outside of class which can be really helpful. The food can be hit or miss but it is generally good. There are a bunch of clubs and activates on and around campus which provides a chance to take a break from your studies. All in all I will be proud to be a graduate of ODU!

I don’t know about the quality of the education here but I do know they have some amazing elevators here. They have dover as well as some other brands. The elevators seem to be well maintained and taken care of. The are clean and smooth and the ones in the Webb student center have great motors. I will be back to see more elevators.

This place is a pathetic excuse for higher education —a unprofessional slum. The school is so incompetent they managed to swindle me out of $1,700 in my first semester instead of getting the full tuition for my complete masters degree. I’ll be getting my degree somewhere else, because I’m done doing business with them. A complete circus . Advisors are impossible to reach, might as well not exist and the registrar’s office is a joke — the staff either have an attitude or give out information that’s completely wrong. The whole place is disorganized, unprofessional, and clearly has zero interest in helping students succeed. I genuinely regret ever getting involved with this institution.

Got one degree. Came back. Got misadvised by a Jeff Toussaint who was in for Daniel O'Leary because he was never there. Literally. Now I owe ODU 7k. I'll pay but watch your CRJS advisers bruh. Toussaint is at another college now lol
